^^ I'm truly envious of you Arizonoids. the closest theater to me is an 8 and a half hour drive up to north carolina.

but it wouldn't have surprised me if the aliens had moved the city, either.

aliens always be messin with the desert people.

Arizonoids... excuse me? =P

(now that I read the whole post, that bit still disturbs me more then the alien thing. lol)

Anyway, I don't have a car so I'm going to have ask a friend to take me. I just wish it was within walking distance to me though. lol

I wish it was playing in Phoenix or anywhere in Arizona....

has Tempe been flown out of Arizona?

Funny that they modified it and is now playing in Tempe, I have to make a drive down there to see it on the big screen!

It took a lot of phone calls, emails, and bitchin' but we got it.

Eva 2.0 January 28th in Tempe.

Seriously!? but I will be back at NAU during that time. Crap! V__V

I'm really happy to finally see this in the news. I am another Arizona guy. Luffypirate85 was super great with keeping the status of the chances updated. My anime club will be taking a field trip their during Winter Break. Though they couldn't have chosen a more awkward date( Christmas Eve to the day before New Year's Eve). But it seems almost the entire club can make it.

And I am just happy seeing all these movies in theaters at all. It is really awesome. Famon stopped after their screening of Eureka Seven and it seemed like a downward spiral. But now not only will we have Summer Wars but less then a month later Eva 2.0. And then there is also Trigun later this year. Though I'm nit sure if we will be getting Trigun here in Arizona, I really hope that Gantz will be shown at at least at one theater her.

Overall, I am really happy to see so many more movies in theaters. With this pattern I really hope that somebody picks up King of Thorn and does the same.

Shame Eden of the East didn't get any theatrical run, but I think it would be even crazier if it did. I completely understand why it wasn't done.

Glad it's in Minneapolis, but what the heck is "Minneapolis Fine Arts"? Minnesota Film Arts maybe? I doubt the Minneapolis Institute of Arts would have a one-week run.

Seconding this, there's a word or three missing there.

It was probably just a typo somewhere -- Minnesota Film Arts is hosting this run at the St. Anthony Main Theatre in NE Minneapolis -- same place the movie ran a few weeks back.

Ah, thanks. Sort of figured this would be the case, but there's about a half-dozen places around here it could have realistically gone to. Wonder if this means the hookup with Funi that they talked about at Redline is an exclusive thing.
