| Oh well. Sucks for the UK people. Good News is, at least they are still releasing the series on DVD... |

| Ouch, only 750 copies.
I'd say that they imported the US BD, but aren't the UK in a different region for BDs? |

| This sucks for UK Brotherhood fans. It shouldnt be too disconcerting though, as Funimation's Brotherhood BD's are both region A and B, so import away! (that is, if Funimation continues to produce them that way). | ||||||

| luckily for our homies across the pond, they should be able to import ours just fine.
Though I gotta admit, I almost had a heart attack when skimming the title, for a second there I thought it applied to us... |

| Cor blimey! I guess UK anime purchasers are too busy rioting over their government's austerity measures to buy the FMA BDs... |

All of Europe, except three countries, Africa, Greenland, the Middle east, Australia, New Zealand, and Oceania use Region B. I don't know if the Funi BD's are All region or Region A. IF they are All Region which a good many BD are they should be able to play them on their BD players. |

Manga usually coproduces it's blurays with the American licensors (in this case Funi), so they are generally region A-B. So yes, these usually will work in the UK. However, Funimation may make them region A only if Manga is no longer involved. So future sets may not work. |

| Worry not.
The US and Australian versions are region AB: http://www.asianblurayguide.com/ |

| Obviously this wasn't going to do well. FUNimation is releasing their own Blu-Rays and people from the UK could just import them.
Even if they're region locked, there are ways to get around that. |

| Viz Media sure could learn a thing or two from Manga UK.
It does suck that they had to cancel it. I don't live in the UK, but since they're still going forward with DVD, I have to assume blu-ray isn't as popular there as it is here. I hope this doesn't affect their decisions to release High School of the Dead and The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya on BD since I plan on importing those (assuming they're A compatible) if they don't get one here. |

You need to lend your Crystal Ball of Hindsight to Manga then, but yes they certainly did lose sales to impatient people importing from the US - how many we'll probably never know.
It doesn't: http://twitter.com/ http://twitter.com/ http://twitter.com/ http://twitter.com/ On-off releases like movies and one season titles aren't a problem, since they don't suffer the sales drop off that longer series like FMA:B do. However, they are likely to be Region B only. Last edited by Shiroi Hane on Mon Dec 13, 2010 8:06 pm; edited 1 time in total |

But the UK isn't buying too many BD anyways, 1.5 BD movies/year/BD player owner. |
