I don't anticipate anything else coming in so I'll post March's figures.

Manga: 17 volumes for $145.22
Art Books: 2 volumes for $55.89
Figures: 2 for $94.47
DVDs: 3 for $109.94
Blu-rays: 9 for $356.84
Tax: $35.91
In addition to the above I signed up for the following crowd sourced items:
Animeigo Bubblegum Crisis Blu-ray for $50
Anime Sols Creamy Mami parts 2, 3, and 4 for $126.

Total for March: $972.27
Total year to date: $2122.91

I just got another update from Robert Woodhead of Animeigo about the BGC bluray. You can tell he is having a ball trying to get the maximum in extras into the various editions. He used to have Nene's hard suit, wearable if you were the size of a small Japanese girl. Unfortunately he sold it several years back, it would have been a great offering for one of the big packages.

The two figures listed above are technically the same one. It was the Figma of Sae from Hidamari Sketch. However, it comes with two heads so you could change her to Nori the first year in the recent series. You had to buy two to provide bodies for both characters. The same thing happened last month with Hiro/Nazuna.

I am a poor graduate student so my expenses have to be limited. Still I am spending a lot on anime/manga in proportion to my income. Since September 2013 I have spent:

Manga: $486.31
Anime: $487.51

I have over spent majorly on my £100.00 a month rule but some purchases were made after this months pay so most if not all of April's spend should be included with these figures. The only bits I may pick up next month will be any pre-orders that are released early, Crunchyroll subscription and Eureka Seven manga if I can find a good deal.

Anyways, this month's spending:

Manga: £234.61 55 volumes
Anime: £64.11 1 DVD & 1 BD
Other: £8.99 Crunchyroll

This gives me a March total spend of £307.71 and a YTD figure of £490.35

Well, another month's passed. I don't plan on splurging on anything else this month. So let us total things up for the month:

K-On Anime Legends set = $47.17
K DVD set = $29.45
Accel World DVD sets = $52.88
Fire Tripper VHS = $18.43
Robotics; Notes Blu-Ray/ DVD combo sets (with LE box) = $97.23
Dallos DVD = $18.76

March Total: $263.92
YTD Total: $806.22
YTD Total Around This Time Last Year: $803.03

A little closer to where I was around this time last year. However, I don't have any intentions to get much in April beyond Discotek's Amazing Nuts release. So, April may be very slim with pickings for me.

Welp. Bit of an expensive month this one. Largely due to the Kamisama Kiss Premium Edition coming out, a chance to buy NIS' original Toradora Premium Edition for a good price, and a trip to Newcastle which inevitably means figures... Anyway:

Grand total: £304.51 Of which:
Anime: £109.74
Manga: £102.82
Manhwa: £3.99
Kickstarter: £27.96 (Mai Mai Miracle)
Live action: £6.00
Figures: £54.00

YTD: £820.40. And I wonder why I have no money... It's rare that I spend more on anime than manga in a month but premium editions are shiny...

An anime heavy month for me:

Anime: $140.44
Manga: $24.95

March Total: $165.39
March YOY: $123.64

YTD Total: $391.31
YTD YOY: $-322.97

I'm surprised how little I bought last March - just three volumes of manga(two digital) and a single VN I still haven't finished after I apparently made a wrong decision somewhere and got the "halfway end"(maybe the abrupt halt left me subconsciously soured on it). I think this is about the time I started to take my overspending problem seriously(not that that stopped me from having a spend-a-thon in May).

As I suspected, March was a bit more costly due to Anime Boston. I still overspent a bit, but all things considered, it wasn't a bad month. I have a few big ticket items preordered that are set for release in April, so next month probably won't be much better, but after this, it should be a pretty cheap remainder of the year for me.

Anime: $350.95 (6 BD, 3 DVD)
Manga: $13.21 (2)
Figures: $18.88 (1)
Misc: $158.75

March Totals: $541.79

The figure expense was actually just me paying the shipping costs of a figure that I had already prepaid for, and the miscellaneous expenses included the April and May editions of Nyantype magazine, an Anime Boston convention shirt, a Nudist Beach shirt, Shuffle visual novel, and Tick Tack visual novel.

Even though my anime related expenses are probably going to be pretty close to this next month, it'll be a cheaper month regardless overall since conventions are expensive with food and hotel charges. At least when you tend to live it up a little like I do. So that'll be at least $500 that I won't be spending next month.

March 2014:

Total: $104.36

That got me a used movie, the Mai Mai Miracle movie via Kickstarter pledge, my weekend pass for Anime North and my monthly Funi elite sub charge.

My YTD total is $1,568.96 which is well under my 2013 total at this point: $2,747.33

That time of the month again. Let's count up the anime spending...

Penguindrum DVD sets= $1.86 (used gift card to cover much of cost)
Amazing Nuts = $18.45

April Total = $20.31

YTD Total = $826.53
YTD Total as of This Time Last Year = $1009.17

Been a while since I've spent so little on anime, though there's not really much getting my attention until summer comes around and I'm not in the mood to pick up older releases. Will see how this fares onward.

Yeah, all my charges have gone through and I don't have anything else pending, so time to tally this month all up

Anime: $94.98
Manga: $0
Figures: $123.00
Misc: $336.58

April total: $554.56

Slightly more spent this month than last month, although last month had a lot more non-anime expenses since I was at a convention. Only one BD bought this month, and that was the Madoka Rebellion BD.

For the first time in years, I didn't buy a single manga this month. In part because I was starting to get a big manga backlog going, and I certainly don't want it to get as out of control as my DVD/BD backlog is, but also because I just don't want to spend money on unnecessary things for awhile.

The figure expense was just for the GSC Tsukihi figure which finally came out after several months of delays, and because I'm sick and tired of these things always getting delayed, this was also my last preordered figure. And I meant to keep it that way, but then Alter tempted me with their Asuka figure, and even though Alter is just as bad as GSC when it comes to delays, I couldn't help but preorder her. But that really is the last one, and that doesn't come out until September.

In the miscellaneous department, that consisted of the Steins Gate visual novel, the 10th Haruhi novel, a Sailor Moon Sons of Anarchy parody shirt, the Spice and Wolf artbook, and a convention badge for Another Anime Convention in October.

So, I actually only bought 7 items, they just happened to be a bit on the spendy side per. My goal for next month? $0 across the board. And unless I find a reason to buy something, such as it threatening to go OOP, I see no reason why I will spend any money on anime next month.

A lot of anime I wanted came out this month, though if Abenomics continues its current pace I'll be spending a lot less to continue supporting Sakura Trick.

Anime: $258.57
Manga: $33.74
Subscriptions: $7.95

April Total: $300.26
April YOY: +$196.82

YTD Total: $691.57
YTD YOY: -$126.15

A single month and I practically double my YTD spending. Damn you Madoka! Why must you be so damn good! WHHHHYYYYYYYYYY?

Well, even with this little orgy of spending that is buying two Japanese releases and two American releases on top(one NISA PE, one Sentai), I'm still on track to spend less than half of last year's expenditures(everything I've currently bought or preordered comes to just under 40%, so I should be able to keep it from exceeding 50%, unless round of another awesome(ly expensive) anime releases clustered together happens).
