For the record, I've gone through all upcoming Yen Press releases this side of October and updated the release dates as most of them have been shifted back a week.

If the UPC changed then it should have had a completely new release added, unless the UPC changed before it was actually released in which case the RRP is academic, or there never was an entry for the older SKU. If one release ID has been used for two different SKUs then that is a problem, so I hope that is not the case. There are 7 retailers logged. The 5 that give UPCs have all given 669198800504. The two that provided SKU gave 80050 or BN80050. There is no data logged for AnimeNation for some reason, however the URL was http://store.yahoo.com/cgi-bin/clink?animenation+ueGjxr+av-0430.html (unfortunately robots.txt prevented that being archived) which looks that other SKU. The note first appeared on the release page here: http://web.archive.org/web/20090630043805/http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/releases.php?id=2665 The UPC didn't appear on the release page prior to http://web.archive.org/web/20071225092004/http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/releases.php?id=2665 and at that point it was 669198800504. The oldest copy of the page is http://web.archive.org/web/20041222015625/http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/releases.php?id=2665 The DVD Empire link from 2004 is still active and quotes UPC 669198800504. The ASIN is the same and the only UPC attached is 0669198800504 and the List Price is not specified. Can't find the TRSI page in archive.org. The B&N link doesn't work, but 669198800504 is in the URL. The AnimeNation link was the same as it is now, with the other SKU. All of the singles were added some time between Dec'13 and Apr'14, prior to that the only release had been a box set. Therefore, it looks like if there was an earlier release it was either never added or simply pre-dated the current release system. There are two volume 1 releases on Amazon:
However: B&N and DVD Empire are giving 2000-10-03 as the release date for UPC 669198800504. release#31689 release#31688 Also just to note, seems NISA (though they've got like nothing left to add) and Aniplex USA releases are going to need to get added manually again unless things get fixed. Rightstuf had another redesign, this time not a major one, and now the scraper is unable to find the UPC so you can't add them as the wizard tells you need a store with the UPC. I can't remember where it was located before, but now the UPC is listed as "SKU". The second Itachi's Story volume needs moving to novels. I don't know why the first one I added went to novels yet this one went to GNs...
Psycome, vol.2 also needs moving and its subtitle added. |

Accel World Novel 7 and Novel 8 need their subtitles added.
Same for Black Bullet, vol.5 - Rentaro Satomi, Fugitive and The Asterisk War, vol.2 - Awakening of Silver Beauty Konosuba, vol.1 needs moving to novels. And Irregular, vol.3 plus its subtitle - Nine School Competition, Part I And Irregular, vol.4's subtitle - Nine School Competition, Part II The RightStuf link for Not Lives Vol.4 is actually for Vol.3 (which explains why I couldn't add it to its proper place...). Tried to add To the Abandoned Sacred Beasts Volume 4, but it said the Amazon link included an unknown distributor (B&N just didn't want to be fetched.) Not sure if this is Vertical vs. Vertical Comics or just them moving into a new UPC block. While on the subject, Volume 1, Volume 2, and Volume 3 should have "The" in their title made lowercase (it follows normal convention and is how it is displayed on the cover.)
Baccano novel 2 is missing part of its subtitle. The full one should read "Baccano! - 1931 The Grand Punk Railroad: Local". Fairy Girls manga 1 needs to have its number added. For the Fairy Tail omnibus (Omni 1, Omni 2, Omni 3, and Omni 4) I think the official naming convention should be eschewed to skip the hyphen, so that they will sort-out separately from the regular volumes. Otherwise, some manually grouping should be done over the long release life of the series. [done] |
