Indeed. Good sales for the title will make it more likely that Namco Bandai won't slack localising on the Tales of series or perhaps a sequel if the worldwide reception proves positive enough.
I would hope that the title sold many copies on top of topping the charts (which gets it more attention when you visit a store or a website). DmC sold only a fraction of DMC4's first week sales a few weeks ago despite being Capcom's first UK weekly chart topper since Resident Evil 5 (http://uk.gamespot.com/news/uk-chart-dmc-tops-the-charts-with-only-a-third-of-its-predecessors-sales-6402680).
There is still relatively little competition aside from the evergreens of last year like Call of Duty and FIFA. |
