You're welcome. I have not actually watched Noein but I had been reading about it because it is in my backlog and I am trying to decide how soon I should watch it. Too much anime, too little time. |

From what little bit of Noein I seen, it seems like it should be pretty good.
So many anime, not enough time. I know that feeling all too well lol. |

Hello friends! I was doing a research yesterday looking for a new anime to watch and I came across this trailer.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QFekGdVOeUY However, I can't seem to find the title "God Of Dice" It looks like an interesting anime with nice characters too! Can someone help me identify what anime is this? Thank you for your help! |

Well, from the video (I'm guessing with the reference to Baccano in the name of the video, the music is not likely the original), the actual name of the show is "Game of Dice", not "God of Dice," and it's also Korean. Doing a google search for 주사위의 신 (the title in Korean), I'm not getting any animated stills, I'm only finding screenshots from a game, so I'd say it's a fan-created video in the style of the Baccano opening, for this video game.

Okay I had the theory that it might not be an anime, but actually a game, so I did some digging. And it does seem to be in some way based on a game, but also that video seems to made specifically to be like the Baccano opening, so says the song and some of the style elements such as the name subtitle popping up, I have not really seen it but you can compare it to searching that OP on YouTube. It looks hard to really get much on the game itself, I can find that it is developed by Ozura, was released in 2006. And based on the title and some of the comments, I don't quite think it is even Japanese. I can literally find no pictures of this game. |

That is the 'intro short movie' for Game of Dice, a digital board game developed by Korean company Joycity for Android and iOS devices. http://www.develop-online.net/press-releases/joycity-announces-game-of-dice-for-ios-and-android/0212503 http://god.joycity.com/en |

What are you talking about, they are out. You can check the preview guide on this site that was done a few weeks back, or the running episode reviews with a number up to their 5th episode. |

And you yourself talked about Joycity's Game of Dice in a thread on the 'Video Games' forum on November 2 in the first place, jay19. animenewsnetwork.com/bbs/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=4664878#4664878 |

In the middle of these brutal weeks in this hellish place called 'office' that barely gives me chance to follow the ongoing season, I want to watch a little dose of lewd stuffs (you know, H) to, uh, clear my head. Then I remember this show, one of the first H shows I watched. Unfortunately, I forget the title...
Am I in the right place? Kinda hesitate because most, if not all, asked so far in this thread have been non-H. |

It should be fine asking here but most people usually go to the Hentai Recommendation thread to ask. You can also shoot PMs to probably Vaisaga, getchman, and me because we're the Three Hentai Musketeers.*
I won't be of much use if it's hentai before the 2000s, though. *Probably just me since I seem to be the only guy still watching the recent releases as of late. |

Hey guysss~~
There's something that I've been wondering for awhile now... Does anime directors need to know how to draw? That kinda sounds like a stupid question but... Just wanted to know~ |

If you are interested in how anime are made, you might want to check out Shirobako. It goes quite a bit into how the process works, and a prominent character is a director who spends a lot of time in it making storyboards, which although rough show that being able to draw would be a requirement.

Long story short, my friends and I were reminiscing about the "Good Old Days" when anime hadn't quite caught on and you'd be lucky to find something on Cartoon Network and late, late night Scifi Channel. We were discussing anime that were shown on Scifi channel and were wracking our brains about this one crazy movie shown (probably) on Scifi. The basics of that movie are as follow:
*there's one big mega city *outside the city it's either a desert or wasteland (don't remember why) *there are rebels living out in the wasteland who attack the city *the rebels ride funky motorcycles *the city military have massive tanks with multiple turrets *the tanks are super memorable (for some reason) because they take up multiple lanes of the roadway *there's at least one female character that has a... chastity belt? (I don't remember this detail myself, think my friend might be getting anime mixed up or is having a mini-stroke) *the movie aired on Scifi channel in the late 90s or early 2000s *it's not Akira *It's also not No.6 *also not Mad Max: Fury Road (again, think friend might be having mini-stroke) Anyone know? |
