Looks interesting!! But unless you know the story basics this crazy version may confuse you.

Of course I was expecting someone to do a live action version but I guess this is as close as you get. Smile

Yes, very trippy retelling.

Hmm, didn't the Shaw Brothers do a three part live-action version back in the seventies?

there's already a live action based on journey to the west with the monkey king. it was a tv series producted by mainland china in the 80's and it remain the best live version of journey. i was checking out that trailer and it seem very weird. seem like something i wouldn't like.
