Slightly off-topic, but who wants to bet that there'll be a DOA anime one-shot to coincide with the live-action film?

About as likely as there will be a Live-Action of Rumble Roses.

Heck, they sent 50 rabid fans to Hawaii to participate in a DOA Extreme Beach Volleyball Tournament with r/l models as the characters. How can you surpass that?

I doubt it. While KOF has always (crap Max Impact aside) been 2D and anime style, DOA has always been 3D and realistic style. Having an anime about it would be weiiiird. o_o;

But I have no hope for the movie either. Well. I have some. Most of the cast fit their roles nicely, except for Devon Aoki. What were they thinking when they cast her as Kasumi? I cosplay Kasumi and could be a better Kasumi than her, and I'm not even Asian. RAWR.

I think anime is more fitting for KOF and live action is more fitting for DOA, bad cast choices aside. Though, unlike the KOF cast which only has a few, basically the entire DOA cast consists of seiyuu that do many anime roles outside of gaming.. so it might work well for an anime.

That's what everyone thought at first, but it isn't. After actually doing my homework, I guess I nearly had it earlier - it's Tomokazu Nakano. Still, it's an easy mistake to make (one which I made for the longest time), seeing how similar their styles are and all. I know of at least one time they've worked together, on Wachenröder, but I wouldn't doubt that maybe they're beer buddies or something.

His page was here, but it's...dead now.

I think a much bigger deal would have been made about if Range Murata did the designs, given his popularity. ^^;;

Duuude! Wait! I knew he was the designer! You reminded me when you posted his site, because I used to have it bookmarked. Anime hyper!! That makes me REALLY sad to learn that it's dead now. Boo. His art is so nifty. ;.; Must.. get.. new.. artbook.. Must.. have.. complete.. SNK.. artbook.. collection.. (Even if the new artbook also has Falcoon stuff, meh.)
