Considering they shut down a lot of its channels, yes. They're focusing on the Wii-U now.

Weren't most of those channels the ones that needed constant updates and people barely used anyway? Throwing an already finished game in the store would be much easier and there are already tons of Wii owners. Making it WiiU only is just a lame cash grab. It's as if they're hoping people would use the game to justify buying a WiiU instead of paying hundreds for an old cart of a game.

Why do you expect them to support a dead system? Nintendo has moved on from the Wii.

I wonder when Nintendo will stop making and selling the Wii? There was about 1 year overlap between the n64 and the GameCube, and 1 year between the GameCube and the Wii, in any particular market.
As a comparison, there was a 4 year overlap between the PS1 and the PS2, and a 6 year overlap between the PS2 and the PS3.
Still, they should support a system that they are still selling, and was their most advanced console available only seven months ago.

I've heard rumors that an American of Super Robot Wars Alpha was planned, but killed by the inevitable licensing problems. But I find this too unbelievable to be true.

This will be the biggest mistake they have made in a long, long time. I understand wanting to push out the wii-u but a majority people don't even know what that this.

It's hard to tell if this was ever a valid rumor or nothing more than an avid SRW fan that said something false (either as a joke or outright lying), and it just grew.
Granted, the most I heard was that there was word of it maybe happening around the time Alpha Gaiden came out, and there were people hoping like hell that W would come over (especially since Banpresto outright made the W line-up FOR North American audiences [freakin' GoLion!]).

I remember Earthbound. I was always curious about this game but never had the opportunity to consider it. I sort of put off by it graphically when compared to FFIV on the SNES as FFII. But it would be years later that I would realize that there was a massive cult following that truly "loves" this game. But the gaming system kind of scared me because it was different. But I'm sure today I could understand the controls and see that it was no different than any RPG except it uses different elements. But I'd be interested to give it a try.
