Ok I've seen some blog posts, fan page facebook pages and other 3rd party sources being listed to try and prove a mangaka or other celebrity is alive. Unless we get some official sources like the company itself or the celebrities official twitter or web site, its meaningless to post 3rd party sources.
As far as I can tell Kisimoto and Amano are still unknown. I am pretty sure we wont get official word until Shonnen Jump or the manga authors begin to publish some type of official statement.

I apologize for not noticing that before. I moved my post over. Thanks, Sariachan!

Many may not be aware of this artist, but one of my favorite artists, Oyari Ashito is thankfully safe, as I believe he is active on his Twitter page . I can't read Japanese and I'm not particularly familiar with Twitter so I hope I'm getting this right.

For those who have Verizon's FiOs service, Verizon is making TV Japan (channel 1770) available free for a limited time. It is a Japanese language broadcast, but it's available if you're interested. FiOs customers can also make free calls to Japan through 4/10.

It seems to be snowing now, just what they need.

They broke the geiger counter out at my school. Of course the radiation levels 100 miles away from the plant are still very very low...

@Banken
You live in Japan?

@Everyone
How bad is it now? Is the plant getting even worse or are things getting better yet?

Yes. Right now the radiation level is the same as eating two bananas per hour.

To anyone who's worried about their favorite seiyuu/mangaka/whoever and has the balls to actually ASK about it, here's a little Tweet from seiyuu Nojima Kenji of Aoni Production:

http://twitter.com/#!/nojimakenji/status/46268927218679808
Quote:
悲惨なニュースが続々と流れる中人気声優の安否を聞いて来る方々他に心配する事やるべき事感謝する事あると思います

While tragic news continues flowing in, to the people who inquire about the safety of popular seiyuu, I think there is something else you should be worrying about, something else you should be doing, something else you should be thankful for.

NojiKen, I've always loved you but you just shot up exponentially on my cool meter. I couldn't have said it better myself. Apparently a bunch of people constantly sent @ messages to him asking if he was OK.

So to anyone who's worried about so and so, SHUT UP. Chances are they are alive and doing well because TOKYO WAS NOT IN THE DISASTER ZONE.
