I wondered how long it would take before someone brought that up. |

Wouldn't worry about that since they can always stream or release episodes on discs. |

Yikes. The speed with which an ordinary day can turn into a fight for survival really drives home how precarious civilization is.
As bad as this is, at least the quake didn't occur directly under a major city. |

Things in Tokyo weren't so bad. We just got shaken up a little bit.
But yes, they just uncovered 200-300 bodies in Sendai. If you are the praying type, there is a lot to pray about today. It is still winter, and a cold front just moved in. Most people in Sendai are either without homes or without electricity, meaning no heat, and there is a large elderly population there. I expect that many won't survive the night. I may be getting in a van tomorrow to head up there and help with the relief effort. The organization I am going through is CRASH (Christian Relief, Assistance, Support and Hope), and the website is here: http://crashjapan.com/ If you want to make donations, you can do it from that page. The Red Cross is also a viable option. MODS: I hope this doesn't fall under "solicitation". Personally, I don't care where people donate, as long as the money ends up in Japan. |

This is really bad in Japan. Anybody going on to CNN or any news site? This earthquake is probably worse then I thought. Also, if any of you are living in California, Washington, Oregon near the beach or shore, I do recommend evacuating to higher ground because there is a Tsunami warning. I don't have to say the same for Hawaii because I think the message is already out.
My hearts goes out to the people of Japan at the time of this disaster. |

I heard about this from Steve Bennett and Stephanie Sheh via Facebook and my heart goes out to everyone in Japan. Just thinking that earthquake was an 8.8 is terrifying.
BTW I heard there was more than one that hit north Japan. |

Aftershocks are being felt all over the place, including Tokyo; some are still over a 5 in magnitude, at least from what I've been hearing. |

Hoping the death isn't worsen than expected but If Japan survives this quake with toll around a thousand. Then we should take a textbook from Japan learn more about preparing ourselves for Earthquakes.
Sadly my hearts and prayers to Japan plus would like to donate sites for Earthquakes relief funds. Can ANN do that please in time of need. |
