| I agree with the what Key said about Samurai Gun, the series is adverage at most.
On the other hand ADV's co-production on Shin Guyver Bio Booster Armor is working. The Series is already better than the orgional OVAs. |

| Gotta say, Key was right on. Samurai Gun was seriously lacking. Already have Samurai 7 vol. 1 and it was fairly good. It does not compare to The Seven Samurai, but then, i don't think Samurai 7 is meant to. | ||||||

Nope, could never find it. I played Seven Samurai 20XX once at an arcade though, it wasnt very good however
But I'd take the Samurai 7 anime over Samurai Gun anyday. Although I'll take Samurai Champloo over Samurai 7, but I'll take Samurai X/Rurouni Kenshin over Samurai Champloo, but nothing tops... Usagi Yojimbo! Not Vagabond, not Lone Wolf and Cub, not Blade of the Immortal! Bunny Samurai! |

| I won't go into my dislike of Kenshin...
But Samurai 7 is an updated homage to the original movie in the same way as Kaze no Yojimbo was (Which was also awesome). S7 is supposed to be the same-but-different. I think they did a good job of respecting the original work while taking it in a new direction. It worked well. Meanwhile, I'm still waiting for an anime version of Rashoman. |

| Samurai Gun is by no means one of ADV's first co-productions. Whatever happened to Kino's Journey, Samurai X: Reflections, Kaleido Star, etc.? | ||||||

I wasn't aware that they were involved in the co-production of Samurai X: Reflections. Anyways, while ADV has said that they are involved in several co-pros, currently they've only released a couple, Kino's Journey, BGC 2040, Kaleidostar, etc... So yeah, this is one of the first. -t |

| this is what i like about Samurai Champloo: it's the only show to date to take such an tired out subject, and actually have fun with the idea. | ||||||

| This series looked pretty interesting from the trailer and seemed like it would be a good action series with interesting characters. Too bad the first volume got mediocre reviews from this site and Animeondvd as well. I think I'll wait until the second volume gets reviewed before I decide if I want to pick up the series or not. | ||||||
