Yay, finally. I can't wait to see the anime of this, I hope it's really good. I actually forked out the money to get 5 volumes of the manga *imported*. (Still trying to fork out money to get the 6th one.)

I hear rumours that Tadashi Hiramatsu's going to be involved in this as well (it's like Nagisa Miyazaki, Tadashi Hiramatsu, Hiroshi Nagahama are all Akitaro Daichi's various students or something)

I LOVE the art in the manga... I have a Mushishi poster on my desk at work... but I can't help but feel that the unique art style of the mangaka doesn't translate so well to animation from what I've seen of it so far.
