Well, they state the Haruka character's "specialty" is freestyle.
I watched most of the freestyle matches during the summer Olympics. Pretty exciting stuff. I am hoping for some really nice animation during the swim meets.

Same. I just wonder how they'll handle the water, since it's infamously hard to draw/animate. Considering this is KyoAni, I'm expecting some top-notch stuff. My excitement level just keeps rising.

I hope there will be a big focus on actual swimming and competition. I'm pretty tired of shows with groups of people who sit around in a club room and talk. Wishful thinking I know, but I can dream can't I?

Well, I know you're pretty tired of shows like that, so am I to be honest but like the fans of shows like those anime say, 'It sells so more of it is made'.

I seem to recall reading somewhere that there's not going to be a lot of focus on competition, ala most sports anime. I'm sure we'll see the guys get in the water, but...

Obviously they do, but I'm confused. Are you trying to say there are gay characters in Oofuri? Or are you talking about the fact that people slash some of them.
