Geez Bamboo, you went to every panel I went to it seems. & yet somehow I missed you completely. Was hoping to chat it up with you at least once. Didn't help that the ANN booth didn't wind up happening either. Glad you had a good time though, aside from the wallet thing that is. Though I'm glad that turned out okay for you as well.

I do have to question though if you just copy-pasted your report of the Evangelion screening from a previous convention or something. For one, Spike Spencer didn't show up until after the screening. I also don't recall the audience going "insane" or anything close to it when Shinji's player hit 27. Not to mention I'd be surprised that you'd go without mentioning the movie was unwatchable for the first 10 minutes due to the picture being out of focus, not fitting correctly on the screen (& even this was never fully fixed), & was pretty much inaudible. & of course the giant "For Promotional Use Only - Not For Sale" text that remained on-screen for the entire film. Far from an ideal screening. Confused

I don't know where you were sitting, but the people I was sitting next to were going pretty crazy when the track skipped. They were also pretty chatty throughout the entire movie, though, so maybe I was just sitting in a pocket of excited fans?

The screening was not ideal, but I guess it didn't really bother me. This is not the first screening I've been to where the "Promotional use only" text was there the entire time, and it is *far* from the worst screening I've ever been to. My main focus was on the film itself. If I want a theater quality projection, I'll go to a theater. Griping about bad convention projections for me is like griping that masquerade didn't start on time. After a few years, I just stopped mentioning it.

The Spike Spencer bit actually is an oversight. I wrote that intro that morning before I got to the convention, and although I changed it in later versions of my report, I think I accidentally edited an earlier version that got saved. I've since replaced it with the newer version. Thanks for picking up on that!
