Perhaps we'll be lucky and the movie, if popular, will lead to a new series. (Wishful thinking) As far as comments made earlier about the manga and anime being basically the same...um...no. I guess if you're just going off of the current DarkHorse release then I could see how it would seem *similar* but the truth of the matter is, there are many, and I mean many, differences between the manga and the anime. I like the stories the way they are presented in the manga better, they had more time to be carefully thought out and are visually incredibly interesting (not that the anime episodes wern't great mind you).

Quote:
They still have other characters to introduce like Livio the Doublefang and Chrimsonnail. Also they didn't even touch on Knives' real power and the damage he does to the inhabitants of Gunsmoke, and the "black hair effect" on Vash, Knives, and other plant beings, and also the ship coming from Earth.

Totally, I would love to see the way they do Elendria! And the relationship between some of the characters is rather different, I'd like to see that. I love the interactions between Crimsonnail and Lagato.

spoiler[SPOILER ALLERT!!
Now, Wolfwood does die in volume 10 of the manga, but in an incredibly beautiful way. I personally prefer his manga death to his anime death. I think it was more fulfilled, happy, and was a truly great way for him to die for pictures and details of some of the manga differences please visit http://www.redeyecat.com/wolfwood/. It's on Hiatus right now, but you can still find great scans and information. Not to mention there's http://www.geocities.com/Tokyo/Ginza/7551/tri-index.htm]

By the way...if anyone thinks Trigun Maximum is like the anime they obviously have not read much of it at all.

That's right. I've only read the first 3 volumes of it. See my first post in this thread - if you've read more of the manga, pm me, 'cause I'd love to know where the story goes.

Also, I must be the only one who doesn't like the manga's artwork. Nightow is not very good at illustrating action because half the time I don't understand what's going on during action scenes. It's really messy and confusing imo.

Amazing, because I felt Kuroda dropped the ball on Gungrave...

OH! no way man! He got had his chance to spread his wings better if you ask me *in GUNGRAVE*

...

I'm thinking more of GEOBREEDERS or something as "dropping the ball"

Gungrave is wonderful. A masterpiece near Trigun's level. Gungrave drew my tears throughout, but that ending... that ending is so sad... Bittersweet.

And yeah, even though I like Nightow's artwork, when I look at those scans, I can't figure out what's supposed to be happening... ever...

HA! that reminds me of something when the new Perfect Dark Zero designs came out...

Anyway, I should read the manga too and see if I like it better...

When I get a new manga sometimes I have to read it over a few times to understand whats really happening...but usually everytime I go over it again i find something really cool hidden in there...It seems to take a little more work to read this manga then any simple comic.... also I love Nightow's artwork, so much that I take scans and do them over in illustrator, adding color and a 3 dimentional effect to them...I will post a link when i get them on my deviant art account soon. Anime smile

I just hope that the movie, if it really gets done, won't be like some other anime "extras" that were created because the original was a hit in the US...

This may be OT, too but what the heaven. Where can I find the manga after the anime series ended? Or haven't they been released by Dark Horse yet?

I'm pretty sure that Trigun Maximum continues after the anime. Dark Horse has quite a few volumes released as of now.

Trigun Maximum does not continue after the anime. The anime, except for a few episodes is completely different than the manga. The first issue of Trigun manga starts at episode 5 of the anime and even though there are some similarities every thing is done differently in the manga. I suggest you read the manga from start to finish.

The manga features new Gung-Ho Gunz that were not in the anime, completely different plot twists, new enemy's. In my opinion the manga is 100000000 times better than the anime.
