Well, this is a welcome unexpected...

But as much as I welcome this, I am not sure. I love ufotable (mostly for KnK) and all but, anything that is longer than 13 episodes will be a problem for the company. Fate/Zero showcases this problem, since the series does has a bit of forced filler arc to the tale.

I would also, be curious of if this is a remake of the Fate route or an adoption of HF.

But that said... I am interested and this is currious.

Yes! I don't care which arc they decide to animate. Both of Studio Deen's projects are severely lacking in comparison to Fate/Zero.

I'd rather hope that they wait until Typemoon releases the remake.

Ugh, again this pet peeve of mine: who do so many anime announcements have to be so vague. You can't announce exactly what kind of project this? Really? Can't specify if it is a remake or something else? Jesus.

They're just building hype. Apparently there's going to be a PV tommorrow.

I would assume that this is the 3rd scenario of the Fate Stay Nigh VN titled heavens feel. They did the other 2 scenarios via anime series and movie, so why not animate the 3rd path too? I kinda hope it will be a series and not a movie though. I don't see a point to remake the anime when there is nothing wrong with it simply to make it look nicer

Type/Moon fanboy here. I'm hoping that this is going to adapt the Heaven's Feel route since Sakura is my favorite heroine of the three and Heaven's Feel is the most similar in tone to Fate/Zero.

Gen Urobuchi would be great to have doing series composition since Heaven's Feel is probably his favorite route and that route directly forces Shirou to make a choice about the cost of following Kiritsugu's dream. I think he'd also do True Assassin justice in that servant's debut.

I would also love to see an OVA of the Mind of Steel ending but that obviously would have to be separate from the rest of Heaven's Feel.

probably a Heaven's Feel adaptation; the original TV adaptation of the Fate route was fine so there's no need to go back to that.

Tsukihime fan over here, and i'll just go sit in the corner, again.

but seriously though, I am a excited to see what route they'll choose i mean haven't they animated very route except Heavens feel. I'll be keeping a close eye on this absolutely loved Fate/Zero.

I guess after this Fate/Stay, Tsukihime has more of a shot to get animated, but then again we still have the awesome Kara No Kyoukai series too.

In other news, an anime studio who declined to be named has announced that they will be launching a new project. It will be either an original project or an adaptation of something and will air at some point between now and 2020. When asked to confirm that this project would be animated the studio head offered: "No comment".

I am hoping it will be the actual story of Shirou's rise and fall as a hero.

I just watched Pacific Rim and now this... the best week I've had in years.

They should make a 3 cours series, with 13 episodes for the Fate route, 13 for Unlimited Blade Works and 13 for Heaven's Feel.

I hope the tone is that of Fate/Zero. I loved that one and asked around if the other series are like that and was told they were romcoms and harems.
