Chibi Vampire is pretty lame, but I guess if there are multiple series with very similar names then changing the name makes some sense. I just wish the people in charge of renaming wouldn't pick such stupid names. I still shudder when I see the 'Kimi wa Petto' manga being sold as 'Tramps Like Us'. WTF... worst rename ever...

Considering Karin is a japanese name, I don't find this change to hard to deal with. However, I do find it weird. I mean, the other manga simply titled "Karin" is, as far as I can tell (through the encyclopedia) not liscensed.

If this is just some marketing ploy, I find it quite absurd.

Though, if it is indeed to distinguish it amoungst the similarily named manga, it is a understandable and justifiable change.

Either, having read some of Karin, I will probably pick this up, to see if I like how they handle it.

Maybe they should have renamed this one "The Little Vampire" as a parody of The Little Mermaid Smile

As long as they leave the actual script of the manga untouched, they could call it "Orange Pumpkins and the Magical Vampire of Freaking Candyland" and I'd buy it. It looks cute.

Didn't see this mentioned but Tokyopop also has Kamichama Karin on sale right now also.

edit: Yeah ok, TheoryGirl mentioned it earlier.

It's really weird that they added a Japanese word to the title, but it's anyone's guess what Tokyopop's thinking at a given time.

At least this won't affect my decision to check it out as long as the content is unedited. I'd have picked up some Ikkitousen manga a while ago, but I'm not going to go to my local bookstore and buy "Battle Vixens" Rolling Eyes
