The hell? How did you manage to get Pantsu Witches 2 already? I've had that on preorder for forever, and as of the 20th I got the "We're Working On It" email. Shawne Kleckner, you've made a powerful enemy today!

Yeah, what's going on here? October 2nd is coming up fast. I know we're spoiled by TRSI sending out items early, but I'm starting to get a little worried. They haven't even received any copies yet, and RACS has already delivered some? Mad

I was expecting to get Strike Witches 2 early as well. I have gotten most Funimation release two weeks to a month before their release date.

Last week from AmiAmi:

JoJo's Part 3 J.P. Polnareff Statue Legend:

...and Durarara!! Shizuo Heiwajima 1/8 by Alter:
(More here in the Figure thread.)

Also picked up the lovely OST w/poster for The Moon That Embraces the Sun, my first sageuk drama which I recently finished. I enjoy putting it on and remembering that time I sobbed for 40 minutes over a fictional character’s death (hey, it’s a sageuk-- it’s not a spoiler to say someone doesn’t make it out alive). To keep things from getting too angsty around here though I also picked up Bilasa, Conqueror of Kitties B1A4's Ignition and U-Kiss's Neverland albums (how is this my first U-Kiss album? really). So there will be dancing between the crying jags.

In the mail today:

Planetes complete collection.

All the fuss about Bandai brought this to my attention as a potential good show. I'll give it a try.

I'm enjoying the series, though it doesn't really start picking up until volume 4. A lot of "this is mysterious!!" gobbledygook in the beginning, but it does pay off later^^ Also, Viz's release of the series is gorgeous.

Thanks for the information. Let's see if the first three volume will convince me to continue on with the series.

I do like the treatment Viz gives to their Viz Signature line. The covers are high quality and nice, most of the titles are not your usual mainstream fare, and they are overall great releases.

Well, just finished picking up the Rurouni Kenshin Premium Box 1 & 2 (used) for $65 each. The seller originally wanted $80 each, but I wheedled him down. $65 each isn't an amazing bargain, but given current prices on Amazon, I think it qualifies as a "reasonable deal."

Here's a pic taken by the seller:

Sadly, he didn't own Premium Box 3, so I had to go shopping on the Intrawebs. I found a copy for almost $45 but the description said the box was "beaten up." I found another listing on Amazon.com from Newbury Comics who I've dealt with in the past that indicated their copy was in pretty good shape for $20 more. I figured it was worth the extra $20 to get a box condition more in line with what I just bought. The 3rd box is still en route, so I won't actually know its condition until I get it. Bottom line: all three RK premium boxes for about $210 all in.
