Some fanservicey finds have been rolling in lately. I picked up Queen's Blade on Blu-ray. Queen's Blade 2 on blu-ray is in the mail. And, Strike Witches 2 arrived today. I've had that on order since December.

Still debating what, if anything, I want from Rightstuf's FUNi sale. I'll probably throw in a few preorders while the prices are right.

Put in a preorder for possibly the cheapest figure I've ever bought. Bought the extension set for the Madoka Magica Nendoroid Petites, featuring a nendie petite of Walpurgis Night.

my show of fiscal restraint for the month of October lasted an entire 3 days Rolling Eyes

it was mostly older stuff (from TRSI):
a Kenshin Figuarts and a Crouching Soul figure, the Excel Lunch Box & Menchi Rug. Two double dips
with Appleseed: Ex Machina Blu-ray & the other Fruits Basket DVD Collector's Edition.
And for the printed stuff - Sakuran, Gunslinger Girl Omnibuses 1 & 2, and Practical Origami

VHS? isn't that still available on R1 dvd anymore? or are two arms and a leg being charged for that nowadays?

Thanks to WTK's warning that Ghastly Prince Enema (heh) had sprung a counter at TRSI, I made a multi-item order of NISA products that have been gnawing at me:

AnoHana: The Flower We Saw That Day DVD/Blu-ray Complete Series (S) Premium Edition
Bunny Drop DVD/Blu-ray Complete Series (S) Premium Edition
Ghastly Prince Enma Burning Up DVD/Blu-ray Complete Series (S) Premium Edition
Kimi Ni Todoke -From Me to You- DVD/Blu-ray Box Set 2 (S) Premium Edition
Kimi Ni Todoke -From Me to You- DVD/Blu-ray Box Set 3 (S) Premium Edition

I had really hoped to wait until the holiday sales to see if any NISA titles I wanted would pop up in them, but goaded by GPE and the desire to get free shipping, I decided to throw them in the pile. Besides, past experience shows that it's not all that easy to get a truly significant discount on NISA premium editions.

Tipped off by Blood- in this thread, who was tipped off by WTK in another, I also put in an order for Ghastly Prince Enma Burning Up. I considered picking up a couple FUNi titles off their sale, but decided that since Enma by itself was enough to get me free shipping that I'd wait until the next sale for those since money is gonna be slightly tighter this month.

Laughing As soon as I saw that your username was the last one in this thread, I knew that you, my fellow NISA Premium Edition completist, had ordered that title.

Instead of a small order here and there, or even a weekly I decided to just be done with it. It seriously cut into my quality viewing time, but you can put a fork in me now. I'm frickin' done for the month. Sweet jesus. <---I've been laughing with the dub for Ghost Stories all day, it was a pleasant surprise! much better than I expected.

My player tells me the first disc of Queen's Blade Blu-ray set is invalid. Crying or Very sad However, the nice folks at RightStuf are mailing me a replacement. Very Happy I didn't even have to return anything; the customer service rep told me to pitch the defective Blu-ray. I will be leaving him positive feedback for resolving my issue quickly and easily.

This is why I verify that every disc plays properly when it arrives at my door. Depending on my backlog, I may not get around to watching a series for a while. So I want to find out right away if there are any problems with the discs, that way I'm still within the return-exchange window if I need a replacement.

It's the NISA sets, they're largely irresistible to collectors.
