Picked up Demon from Afar at the book store. This one slipped under my radar earlier. Thanks st_owly for bringing it to my attention.

Forgot to make mention that I got Engaged to the Unidentified shipped out to me a few days ago via Rightstuf.

Should be able to still snag up some anime while unemployed. But high-end purchases such as stuff from Aniplex and NIS America are not gonna be in my crosshairs until I find something else for work.

I really want to get Demon From Afar, but why is it so damn expensive? I don't need it to be hardcover, man!

I'd entirely forgotten about it until I saw it on the shelf at the bookstore. I'd forgotten it had even been licensed and I definitely didn't know it was getting a hardcover release.

Damn you, RightStuf! Took advantage of a daily deal (perhaps my first time, I dunno) and the Udon sale and some bargain stuff

Cat's Eye season 1
Let Dai 14
Mezzo Forte
Persona 3 artworks

Mezzo Forte is the rated version, but I hear I'm not missing much by not having the sex scenes and it's distracting so I'm ok with skipping them. I swear they didn't have Let Dai 14 last I checked when I ordered some of the other volumes, I'm reaaaalllly really hoping they really will be getting that one in so it can be all mine! MINE! Mwahahaha!

Puella Magi Madoka Magica Movie 2: Eternal

...now that the latter is going to be released dubbed.

I own the uncut version, because it was on sale at the time, and agree that you lose nothing without the pornographic scenes. Indeed, I consider it to be better without them. I think that it might have been deliberately structured so that they could be excised. Unless you wanted a weird, kind of rapey, penis-worshipping sex scene and gynoid rape, you'll be all right. If you did want those... please remain 100 feet away from me at all times.

Nice buys. I'm rewatching the movies this week. This will ne the first time I've seen Rebellion outside of the theater! Honestly bought the BD for completionist sake. That and my Akemi Homura obsession. Bring on the "Cake Song"...

Went to the big used bookstore when visiting friends and got:

Iron Wok Jan 1-11
Yakitate Japan 5, 6
Indigo Prophecy PS2

And we exchanged gifts so I got Persona Q 3DS as well.

I can't quite decide if I do or don't want to continue collecting Yakitate so I'm hoping this will push me in one direction or the other. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed 1-4, but could see it getting old fast. Iron Wok Jan is just a total blind buy.

I just preordered from Amazon:
The Legend of Korra Book 4 Balance Blu-ray

and I got this along with it to get free shipping:
Cowboy Bebop Complete Collection Blu-ray

I really wish Funimation would just print more copies of the Bebop limited editions. They clearly underestimated demand for them since they sold out so quickly. I couldn't afford to get the Amazon exclusive in December because of the holidays and other expenses so now I have to settle for the regular edition.

and from Right Stuf I preordered:
Space Dandy Season 1 DVD/Blu-ray Limited Edition
Looking Up at the Half Moon DVD Collection

I'm glad Right Stuf is giving Looking Up at the Half Moon a chance after that other company's (I forget their name) failed attempt at releasing it.

I got a new job and felt like celebrating.
The job is with the Florida Department of Agriculture, so what better celebratory purchase than...

Silver Spoon S1
Silver Spoon S2

The fact that I consider the first season my favorite series of 2013 and Season 2 to be my favorite of 2014 also may have had something to do with my choice.

His name was Corey. Wink
According to this article, he may have gotten out of prison today.
Congrats, Corey.

I actually feel bad for him, sent down for a couple pictures, bad pictures, but maybe not something you should be jailed for, and put back in jail for being an idiot...and maybe for living in Georgia. But he was still a moron and that release would have probably never seen the light of day anyway.

Picked up Squid Girl Season 1, both parts from Amazon.ca for under $20 CAD each. I wasn't in a super rush to get them, but then I realized if I kept putting off there was a chance that one or both parts would go OOP. TRSI doesn't sell Part 1 any longer.

Then just for funsies, I bought my first region 2 DVD ever: Ocean Waves. Cost around $16 CAD and I'm going to see how well it plays on a Mac VLC player.

Depends how old your Mac is. My 2012 MacBook Pro won't play non region 2 DVDs, as although VLC will open them perfectly fine, the actual firmware of the disc drive won't allow VLC to access the disc. The only way to beat that is tinker with the firmware, but that invalidates the warranty.
