My Neighbors The Yamadas DVD

Just a couple weeks ago I said I wouldn't buy this one, but it's not a bad movie, just so culturally specific to the original Japanese family comic strip that I just don't connect to it. It'd be like trying to show a "Get Fuzzy" movie in Japan... I understand why they might find it hilarious but it misses the mark so much of the time.

but it's still Ghibli... and it was $5.

Just took advantage of the extended Suren Visual 30% off sale, and picked up Dennou Coil - Complete Series Amaray Edition (have ALWAYS wanted this), Higurashi no Naku Koroni Kai Complete Series Box Set to go with my When They Cry singles box set from back in the day that was left so unanswered, and also pre-ordered Nodame Cantabile - The Complete First Series.

Guess I will need to bite the bullet and pick up that Region Free BR Player I've had saved forever.

Just got back from Anime Midwest. ^^ It was such a fun weekend! Got a whole bunch of new things to add to my collection too. :p

Manga:
Alice 19th Vols. 1-3 and 9
Suki: A Like Story Vol. 2
The Gentleman's Alliance Cross Vols. 5-6
Spice and Wolf Vol. 2
Fairy Tail Vol. 7
Missions of Love Vols. 4-5 and 9
X Omnibus IV
Ceres: Celestial Legend Vols. 1-3, 5-7, 9, 11-12, and 14

Except for Ceres Vol.1 and Spice and Wolf Vol. 2, all of the rest were $5 each from one vendor. Some of them (like Suki and X) I hadn't started yet, but couldn't resist picking up the volumes I could for cheap. Alice 19th and Ceres were random buys (I never actually read Alice 19th yet, but since I love some of Yu Watase's other works, I figured it was worth a shot), while the others were continuations of series I already own.

Anime:
InuYasha: The Movie Complete Collection DVD - Bought for only $8 after doing a trade-in of some old singles and VHSs my husband had collecting dust. I need to replace the case though.

Other:
A new Cardcaptor Sakura figure
The lovely kitten mini Cardcaptor Sakura figure in the bottom left corner
Mini Mega Latios which is now joining my Espeon and Fennekin
A Gray and Juvia wall scroll which will eventually be placed up next to my Loke and Lucy one I bought last year
The Loke and Lucy keyrings shown here

There were a couple of other figures I wanted, but they were overpriced for the budget we had for the weekend. :p Ah well!

Just picked up Perfect Blue, The Place Promised in Our Early Days, and Paprika from a craigslist seller all for $10, came with inserts and everything. I think the first two are a little harder to come by? So today was a good day.
