For $100 CAD, I am now the proud owner of Lupin the Third, Part 2 vols. 1 thru 14. The sharp-eyed among you will notice that I didn't say that I was the proud owner of Lupin the Third, Part 2 vols. 1 thru 15. Sadly, the seller didn't have it and the cheapest I've been able to find it online is $110 through Amazon. I may simply have to live with not having the last volume. Discotek, God love 'em, is releasing Part 2 on 4 DVD sets so once those all become available, perhaps the price of vol 15 will drop somewhat.
Out of the 14 volumes, 10 are still in their original shrink wrap and out of the 4 that aren't, only 1 has its security tape missing. I've bought stuff off this seller in the past, including Bandai's 8 Hayate the Combat Butler volumes and the 12 Boys Over Flowers volumes. So I gotta ask ... who out there has volumes 1 thru 15? You get zero points for guessing lem as one of the possibles. Who has some but not all of the volumes? Who's willing to sell me volume 15 for cheep-cheep??? |

Half off at the comic store! They called it a "preview day" or some nonsense, I call it early black friday!
Aftercshool Charisma 12 Dimension W 4 Legend of the Galactic Heroes novel 3 Magi 21 Neo Parasyte f Ooku 13 Princess Jellyfish 3 So Cute, It Hurts!! 10 Ten Count 2 Twinkle Stars 1 Yona of the Dawn 3 Final vol on Afterschool Charisma at that! Been ages since vol 1, it seems like with some series, Viz just slows the series release to a crawl for damn reason. Like Tegami Bachi, the last few volumes have been like one every 6 months, and the series is already completely in Japan! If anything, it seems like once series end in Japan, that's when the crawl inexplicably starts. And I feel like when the crawl starts, they disappear from Barnes & Nobles and other brick and mortar retailers or something, it's weird. Even though AFC completed in Japan in 2014, there was a year's delay in the US between vol 11 in late 2015 and this one in late 2016, it baffles me. And of course, Kaze Hikaru is once a year too now, I wish they'd just pick an arc to end things on and stop doing this weird once a year thing (it's actually longer than Skip Beat is in Japan, and it's still ongoing), actually, the release schedule leads me to believe that they are forced to put out a vol a year, but really don't want to (probably because of sales) Twinkle Stars was a debut I was eagerly awaiting (and now don't have to even attempt trying to get the Chuang Yi ones at a reasonable price) and I got my once a year (now that we've caught up with Japan) volume of Ooku (now if only I knew when my next once a year for Real will be....) |

Considering that My buying since last holiday season equals one movie, one bargain series and one manga volume, the size of this order makes sense. Picked this group up from Sentai's "Pre Black Friday Sale" Which just added most of their high profile stuff...today. After comparing prices between it and what is currently also in the TRS Holiday sale, these were cheaper.
And yes, comedy is just about the only thing I bother with these days. The postman didn't make it here until 6 pm today. I can't wait to see how late he will be in a couple of weeks. The most recent delivery to my wife by UPS was at 9 pm. I expect that by the week before Christmas they will be delivering after midnight.

Let me know what you think of Sky Wizards Alan. It's on my possible buy list during the holidays. As for me I just made my first holiday purchase from Right Stuf. I'll be watching their holiday sale, and RACS's as well, for more titles. For now though I just bought:

That is an awesome price for Moribito, Psycho 101. It's especially good when you consider what a great title it is. It's in my top 10.

For Day 6 of the Holiday Sale, took advantage of today's Mega Deal snagging My Love Story (which hopefully Rightstuf won't screw up on this time) and I got Black Butler: Book of Murder with it.
Tomorrow will be the last day straight that I'll have enough money in my Paypal account to buy for the sale and then I'll have to be more conservative with how I spend my money. |
