So, back in March, I pre-ordered off the NISA site the Toradora! Premium Edition for my brother. I'm assuming something happen between the time I ordered it, my marriage and changing my name on Paypal, and the release date of the set to screw up my order, so I never received it. I've contacted NISA several times with no response.
As of 11:44 this morning, my order on Paypal has expired and I decided to order it off of TRSI instead. Now to just wait for them to get more in. Hopefully I get it before my mom's birthday on August 1st. It would really stink if my brother got his birthday gift - which his birthday was back on July 6th - after my mom got hers.

Today I picked up the August Diamond Previews at the comic shop. This lists items mostly solicited for October. I mostly pre-order my manga as I get a discount and I can't trust B&N to get everything in.
I was looking at the Yen Press titles solicited for October 29th delivery and found Oninagi volume 4 of 4. It sounded familiar but not recent. After checking I found I had the first three volumes in storage. The reason it was in storage is that according to the final page, Yen Press issued volume 3 in May 2010. I had given up ever getting anymore of the series. There was nothing at all in the listing to show that it had been four years since the last volume. I went ahead and pre-ordered the volume.

As part of my Otakon preparation, I got this free bag thingy that I wanted to use, but it has this unsightly company logo thing on it (I got it at a job fair). Thus, I determined I needed something to cover it up! I ordered this Gurren Lagann patch on Amazon. I need it to arrive before Otakon, obviously, so Amazon was the way to go this time. Even if it's from a third party seller, it should arrive within two weeks I'd imagine. It'll probably arrive while I'm on vacation this week I'm betting.
I also sadly learned that no brick and mortar stores seem to carry any nerdy patches anymore. I used to get tons of patches back in high school at Hot Topic or Spencer's, but now they carry nothing! Had to go online. |

I've also picked up my copy of Sakura Trick volume 5. I'd just missed it last time I checked my box, but this time it's mine. Now I have a fifth disc to let rot unopened! |

Vampire Knight Complete Series shipped out.
Also picked up Love Hina Perfect Collection for $16 in like new condition from ebay. I purchased this same set a year ago for $60 in good condition (and some sets are STILL going for $100-200+ not even brand new), so I'll probably keep the one I just bought and sell the other one in hopes of recurring at least some of what I paid last year. |
