I have the book, but still haven't read it yet (at over 775 pages, it's one thick book!). I'm still hoping these three movies eventually get a North American BD release, based on what I've seen of the first movie so far.

I know this series was going to be an OVA, then got cancelled, and then it was made after all? Was the first film any good? I see that it premiered at the NY convention.

After having read the book, my interest was piqued in this film trilogy, and it's good to hear they're moving on with the rest of it.

This is good news can't wait. I wonder if they plan in screening it again at NYCC 2011?
