Tenchi: If Herbie's any indication, Lasseter's gonna be in for a big disappointment.

slick: It's a joke, because Over The Hedge has a similar premise to Pom Poko.

Anyway, all I care about is Sith losing out to Kong in the FX category. That is just bs. But I guess when the only films competing are Narnia and WOTW, there's not much of a choice.

They're making a remake? Not going to lie, Pom Poko was one of the worst movies I've ever seen.

No, that's just GATSU being GATSU. Over the Hedge is based on a syndicated comic strip by Michael Fry and T. Lewis, and the idea of animals scavaging off humans in suburbia is generic enough that I doubt there'd be any direct influence.

Ya know, that's what I thought about The Incredibles and Monsters Inc. when I first saw previews for those and so far the only one I was truly disappointed by was Finding Nemo which I honestly anticipated would be a great one. Of course, now with Pixar's success we're going to hit the inevitable issue of anti-fanboys who insist on disliking it because it is successful and people who put them up against standards that aren't realistic simply because of previous success. Not to mention people are expecting that first flop so many are going to judge the next movie and make up their mind to dislike it before it ever comes out.

I'm on the fence with Cars though, it looks like it could be promising but honestly the previews and trailers thus far have given very little to go on and definitely far from enough to even think about passing judgement on the movie. Which is why I also put little weight in those who already have judged on what little has been released on it as that's no better than those who judge anime based on nothing more than Pokemon and Hentai. I'll see it, and I'll either enjoy it or I won't but I'm certainly not going to determine that based on released info thus far.

Yeah, as others have said this wasn't much of a surprise. Still haven't seen W&G, but I left Howl disappointed. The entire movie felt rushed especially the ending ("Hi, I'm the prince everyone is looking for!"). And really, is the mainstream public ready for super angsty bishonen? Somehow I doubt it.

Oh, and Cars, well, um, I just have a thing against talking cars that don't turn into robots, doubt I'll see it.

Don't hate. Just be envious.

Becaue its HARD out here for a Pimp!! And homegirl broke it down so correct at the end of the performance. And she didn't need 36DDs either...
