i wonder what the sales on this would be most likely low japanese people hate xbox 360 as well as xbox

Edit: i reject my statement sales aren't actually bad espcially 26k sold for this year of the system maybe because of 99 nights

Maybe it is being made for the US or Europe. THe Japanese release date is so that they can say it is from Japan, so the otaku will buy it.

Well, 360 hasn't been out that long, has it?


The stats in question were taken for the week of Feb 27th - March 5th. In that week, XBOX 360 did sell lower than gamecube by 248 units. My guess is Japan is biding their time for the PS3. Maybe an anime based game like this is what the 360 needs in Japan o_O

maybe the xbox 360 is just a cult favorite x.X heres last years data http://www.the-magicbox.com/Chart-BestSell2005.shtml its managed to sell 80k from its release date. one of the reason it must have sold was because of the beta version or some thing of final fantasy 11 included

I wouldn't say "hate". Hate requires some sort of intense emotion or acknowledgement one way or the other. More accurately they're indifferent. Or, possibly they just think it is pathetic or a joke, much like the NGage was treated here in the states. I can't think of a single person who "hated" it.

In sports, you hate the best team that rivals your favorite, which is much like what fanboys do with consoles. No one ever hates the worst team on the league, they're just the running gag, the butt of jokes, the underdog. People tend to have a soft spot for something like that, even if they don't personally support it. (See: Nintendo in the US.)

well, I think with lots of great japRPGs coming out for xbox360 soon, i'm sure it'll do better in japan than the original xbox... especially if the PS3 is crazilly overpriced...
