They already have, of course. I'm not posting any links, though, because I love the animated Hare Hare Yukai, and don't want my pristine vision of it getting tainted with bad dancers trying it out.

RELEASE THE NEWS! LET THE WORLD HEAR OF HER GREATNESS!
We need a stage

I wonder if they're going to announce it in a upcoming con this February. I hope it's the cast list.

I think it's something BIGGER. It is now February (the next month). "LET THE WORLD HEAR OF HER GREATNESS!" What does the whole world watch in February?

THE SUPER BOWL!

What do most people watch it for? The funny/strange/interesting commercials. Haruhi falls into all three of these adjectives.

I will not be surprised at all if Bandai pulls something this big. They know Haruhi has giant potential of hitting it off with the mainstream crowd; and the Big Game is the perfect place to advertise. It's never been done with an anime before; which may lead some to doubt that this'll happen. But as they say: times change.

Trust me. I'm a big sports fan and even I'll admit the Super Bowl is overrated. The commercials are almost the best part...depending on whether my Packers are playing in it or not. Very Happy

But, most of the time, they are not. Sad

There's another update made on the website:

Quote:

Water... water everywhere! Everything is covered in water! WHAT?! A swim club?! I told them they have no time for other activities! Don't make me repeat from last summer what everyone should already know by now!

That's IT! Another VIDEO! I shall have another video next week to gather more people together into my Brigade!! And if they do not finish it in time... It will be Exciting and Fun no matter what happens!!! >Very Happy

Water, eh? What the heck are they referring to? Rolling Eyes

At least we're getting a new video soon.

Been wondering about this as well. More specifically, it's the fact that one of the old source code comments, "We must send a delegation to the east coast," hasn't exactly been fulfilled yet. There are two possible cons I have in mind that would make sense in light of all this, but I shall wait and see.

An update on the mystery, courtesy of an AoD poster, Daniel Perales. The anime schedule for New York Comic Con has been posted. On Saturday's schedule, from from 6-7, is a panel innocently enough titled "The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya: The First Look." Now to start wondering about the content that panel will present...

Tch, I'm already setup my schedule in February to attend Katsucon. A bit too late for me to add Comic Con to the list... Sad.

I ran a search on the Jacob Javits Center, which is hosting this con, via MS Streets & Trips, and the building's on the south side of Manhattan; in other words, bordered by the Hudson and East Rivers. Now who would want to go swimming there is another matter entirely Laughing.

That was pretty well done with the dolls and all for the sequence. So when are real people going to perform this?

Lol! http://youtube.com/watch?v=BtH0_GsoOtI

It's so funny! They've got every movement down well, their singing is pretty terrible but at least they're having fun? Confused
It must be super hot in karaoke bars around Japan now.
Sorry if this video was already posted.

Those girls sounded like they failed their music courses in school Rolling Eyes Can you imagine if they tried doing a "Japanese Idol"? Simon Cowell would rip into and fail every single girl that would come onto the show Laughing They had the dancing down though, I give comments to that.

Lol this is crazy, there's countless videos on YouTube of people in Japan dancing to it. http://youtube.com/watch?v=duLQmTpPD3s&mode=related&search= That one is by far the most enthusiastic... in the wrong kinda way.
Still I cannot imagine why and how it's become so popular and hardcore..

You go, Japanese dude who can't sing or dance!

Really, it is interesting how big of a phenomenon the dance seems to have become. Yeah, the entire show is an unexpected phenomenon, and yeah, the ED is super fluid and awesome, but this still struck me as a surprisingly strong reaction. Haruhi seems to have firmly embedded itself into the Japanese otaku culture at a shockingly fast speed.

He's busy "watching GSD7 and giving it TLC"? What's that mean? Does it have espers? Is it good to eat?? NO MATTER! If I don't see a new video within the next 12 hours I'm buying a bunny suit and stuffing someone inside it~

Oh boy! I can't wait to see that moment! Laughing

Page source now says this:

Code:
<!-- I feel ill today -->
<!-- You will make thousands of other people ill if you don't upload that video tonight -->
<!-- HEY! -->
<!-- You WANT to wear the bunny suit? -->
<!-- I think he would look fabulous in it ^^ -->
<!-- ...geh. Shigoto, shigoto! Out of my way! -->
<!-- Oh well ^^ -->
<!-- There may be a disturbance next week -->
<!-- There will be many strong actions for the next several weeks -->
<!-- Much confidential information must be released soon -->
<!-- Do you see something in the sky? -->
<!-- Wow! -->

Once again, another deadline broken. Instead of a video, received a Fedora Core Test Page instead. As of now, though, the test page has been removed, and replaced with:

I am NOT WEARING A BUNNY SUIT

EDIT:

Due to technical difficulties, we are uploading to an alternative site.

EDIT 2:
An explanation of said techincial difficulties:
