[Instead of saying "it's crap, lol" over and over and over AND OVER again, why not provide logical reasons for saying so? Also, when you admit to not even reading the news report, you immediately invalidate your right to speak on the subject until you actually do so.
For example, they never said it was live-action. Great assumption, there.

Each successive animation, as in that ONE sequel series so far
One horrible series didn't ruin the UC back in the 80's, and one horrible series won't ruin the CE, as long as they learn from it and make their next effort better. |

I did state reasons. Live action or not it doesn't matter. I didn't like Seed when I saw it and movie, cartoon, anime, sitcom, live action, dead action, night of the living dead action or whatever else spinoff that they do is exactly that: crap. Why you may ask? Because the voice acting was trash, the story was putrid and did nothing to keep me watching after about 9 epidoes, and the characters offered nothing that the originals did. Sure it had good animation, but then so do a lot of Pixar movies so it doesn't truly matter these days if the story isn't solid enough to capture the people who go out to see it. I liked the old Gundams because they dealt more with war atrocites and such than Seed did. I believe the movie will suck infinitely unless they fix these problems immediately. |

And the utterly nonsensical and haphazardly-assembled SEED Special Editions, and the hideous Dreadnought/Hyperion Gundam Evolve bit, and the equally atrocious Destiny Special Editions...
And if you want, I'll even throw in most of the non-Astray manga material. Like the most recent manga short in which Miguel miraculously survived SEED, only to be re-killed by Gai in the same chapter.
And the fact that Stargazer's already retconning half of everything it touches isn't helping its case, either.

It shows you didn't read the article. Which invalidates your opinion until you at least know the whole story as it stands.

All too vague. Why is the voice acting "trash?" Why is the story "putrid?" What are the characters "not offering?" You may as well have just said "lol suck" and been done with it. Would've told us the exact same information.

Constant recycling and the frequent inability to stay accurate to the character models and proportions is good animation?

The irony here is that SEED is more "anti-war" and "show how bad war really is" than the original series, which dealt with the concept of war in a more heroic "war is hell, but must be fought!" mentality. Gundam didn't become a blatant soapbox for shouting "war's bad y'all, call the troops home" until Fukuda stood on it. |

GS was full of potential, I really enjoyed it. GSD floundered in the shore like a beached whale. Buy hey, we had great music!! (please).
I will, though, remain optimistic that CE world through the Gundam Seed franchise will make a good showing. It’ll be fun either way, watch it fly high or crash and burn.

Wing did it first. They also tacked on some "glory of the battlefield" stuff and picked a wierd way to get there, but it ultimately boiled down to "war is bad, pacifism is the way to go." |

Wait, what's so bad about the Destiny Special Editions so far? I've found them to be very well paced with some notable improvements, mostly because of the better pacing. |

Not quite. Or at least not totally. Outside of Endless Waltz, every single time a faction preached absolute pacifism without the "necessity" of war, they were either cowardly or woefully ineffective. The Sanck Kingdom, for example. It was only when the cast realized that fighting was a regrettable necessity that they were finally able to band together and do something.
At least that's what I recall, anyway. But then again, Wing did kind of double-back on and defeat its own themes more times than one can reall count. |
