I love that one. That's far, far better than a bunch of crossdressing guys. |

Oh crap, I was planning on getting this while in Japan a few days from now. Will it be possible for me to find it though?
| JMays wrote: | | Sigh...okay, it's a well written song, but how can anyone listen to those cute-ified voices for extended periods? |
Heh, I can. Although, I don't think the ending theme is really that "cute-ified" compared to some other bands. The former UNDER17 will always be the queen of moe songs to me.

Same here, I'm beginning to think it's becoming some sort of an internet fad maybe? |
I'd rather see a show that's actually good become popular then all that shounen crap. |

I'm a girl and I'd dance to the Haruhi ending song. It's really catchy.
Too bad it's the only part of that show I like, though... I think the rest of the show is painfully dull. I guess I'll never understand "Haruhiism". |

Actually, it's not a crappy ass song, but another well-written one. As a parody, it was intentionally done with poor production values. But structurally, the song also employs all the right hooks. The introductory motif is strong, the themes are catchy on all sections, and the harmonic movement from one section to another is impressive. The verse begins in minor, the pre-chorus in its relative major, then the chorus modulates to another key by taking the original minor tonic and changing the tonality to major. And Mikuru's performance is unforgettable! I dread an actual serious, commercial mix that destroys the tune's musical strength. "Come on let's dance. Come on let's dance, baby!"

Correction. Never underestimate Haruhi's will!
| Ongaku_no_tenshi wrote: | There is also another Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu single that is going to be released on the June 21. This single will have the song "Koi no Mikuru Densetsu" on it. This is the hilarious song Mikuru sings at the beginning of that train wreck but funny student film from the very first episode. I will be pre-ordering this single as well. Not only just for Mikuru's ROTF perfomance, but also because I collect anime OST's and J-pop/J-Rock cd's and I'm a bit of a completionist when it comes to a to series I like.

That crappy ass song is going to be a single?!! Not that I'm surprised or anything. I wonder if it's going to use that remixed version some fan person made. |

Atleast the eastern side of it

....it's the dance. Totally. It's aaallllll the dance. If you do not know what I mean, you will have to find an episode of the series and watch it for yourself. And then, perhaps, you will understand. |

I'm well impressed, 'Harehare yukai' has sold 34,881 copies to debut at No.5. Orange Range take the No.1 spot with 122,196 copies sold of their 'Champione' single. News here, and lol at the headline 'With the power of the fans, the Haruhi Suzumiya ED single debuts at No.5' plus it goes on to talk about the (failed) campaign to get it to No.1, plus a similar one last year for those Negima singles, which incidentally, peaked at No.3. |

i take it you don't visit 4chan often. there's never a moment when there isn't at least half a dozen threads in /a/ on haruhi, and that's during the slow part of the week in between new episodes. when the raws come out, and when they're fansubbed, you can't go a page without spotting two or three. if you've been keeping an eye on the fansubs as well, the torrents soar for days after they're released with thousands of seeders and leechers.
but the eastern side is even more terrifying, i agree in that way. some little girl on youtube who's in no way related to haruhi suzumiya got 45000 hits overnight because her name happens to be haruhi. |

woo. I'll let you know if it does have dance steps with it. |
I preordered this single as well. Like you, my cd order has shipped today and I am curious to find out if the dance steps are included with the cd. I'm probably going to laugh if they are. |
My copy arrived on Monday. I can confirm that they are not included (aside from a screenshot or two in the cover sleeve and more in the Haruhi advertising material included (plugging the OP, the ED, and the DVD).

My copy of the cd arrived yesterday. And it's true. There are no dance step instructions. And the screenshots of the dance that were mentioned above are so small you need a magnifying glass to see them. |

Something tells me the company is going to sell the dance steps seperately in the near future. Or rather, they'll teach a dance at a convention or something. |

lol! That would be so hiliraous. For me and my friends to look at the anime con program schedule and see "Hare Hare Yukai Dance Class" as one of the convention activities. Priceless. |
