I personally think a VHD movie would be a good idea if the makers did it right...

*Also thinks that steventheeunuch is just asking to be banned for what he called GATSU...*

I have to admit my stomach dropped into my shoes when I read the Hollywood movie bit. "God no," thought I, "PLEASE DON'T SCREW UP VHD!" Visions of some weird Spawn/Blade/Hellsing/Underworld/Matrix conglomeration are spinning through my head, and it's a nightmare - in a bad way.

D's all about the flowing hair, the chiseled features, the awesome cape...you cannot duplicate that willy-nilly IRL. You cannot do it, ESPECIALLY with the kind of limited budget and questionable directing/writing/acting talent that is no doubt available for a VHD movie.

If they must make another movie, make an ANIME movie up to par - or beyond - Bloodlust. Please please please please please.... Evil or Very Mad

When I read hollywood movie I assume they mean live-action. I really think if they make another one it should be another animation. Hopefully when they say hollywood movie, they mean an animation movie made in hollywood. But that is just wishful thinking.

Ah your so cute!! I always wondered why I liked blade, hmmm I guess know that you mention it I see some similitaries. But wasnt' blade based off of a comic book in the USA. Or am I just crazy? Embarassed

I think if they do this movie right, I am assuming it will be a life action movie, it could be awsome.

VHD has really cool story and if they stuck to this story, working really hard to keep it authetic, it would rock!!

Yeah, actually the comic came out before D, but the second movie ripped off the second anime movie.

One positive out of this Hollywood catastrophe would be that "they", most likely, would make a video game to go along with the movie and there's almost no way that game could be worse than the first one was/is. *shudders*

I love this anime! It has such a classic hero story. It's a little corny I'll admit, but it's great that way. And hey, who knows? With the technology they have now, they might be able to nail the look down perfectly.

When I first read the postscript and read that they had Hollywood plans I was like it could be really good. Then I realized they would probably turn it into a friggin love story somehow. And D would never let himself fall in love. They would probably just destroy the character we all love. Not to mention he probably wouldn't look nearly as cool on film as we imagine him to be based on his descriptions in the books as well as how he is portrayed in the anime. Hollywood would probably end up making it just like Blade just with a different character in a different setting doing the same kind of stuff.

D fell in love with Doris. It was less obvious in the movie than in the novel. Then again, the movies have many differences from the novels.

What the hell are you talking about? How did any Blade film rip off D? What, having the vamprire hunting vampires run into a pack of human vampire hunters? That was in Hellsing too. I rather liked the whole Vatican scenario in Hellsing though. Plus, if Blade 1 ripped off anyone, it was Shakespere's MacBeth. I love both Bloodlust and Blade 1 & 2. I don't know what you're talking about. Geez, and I thought I made paranoid connections.

As for a US movie and comic. Bring them on. If they suck, meh, we still got the novels and anime films.

I'm rather interested in who would be working on the book. Who could even come close to Amano's art? For some reason I think James Jean, but he mainly does covers. Jae Lee would be nice, but Marvel has him on the Steven King's Dark Tower comic.

Xenos: Blade 2 was originally going to be called Bloodlust, and Blade 3 was originally going to take place in a post-apocalyptic medieval world.

Even if what he's doing is wrong, you are not in the right to harass him.
