I'm really enjoying this arc right now. Seeing the competitors both dominate and struggle makes it worthwhile. I wonder who will take the grand glory in this next round though as the spoiler[Souhoku High Bicycle Club is facing a dilemma at the end there.]

I hope Imaizumi will do better this round too though.

spoiler[Tadokoro situation is worrying me.
I really don't want him to drop out.
The appearance of Onoda's mom was LOL
She might be clueless, but she does care!
2nd day start right way.
No break for our team.
This anime really inspired me to ride my bike more.]

It appears that little Onoda has lost his innocence. Sad In the end cards for episodes 28-31, he's gone from ? to ! at the sight of the girls in swimsuits, and now in 32 he's stripping off his trunks (and whoever is reflected in Aya's ball is disrobing as well).

::sigh:: They grow up too fast....

That's what road racing does, it turns boys into men~. Laughing

Since there wasn't much for me to fangirl about in this ep., i actually had time to think about the sport for once Wink , so about becoming the best team: i get it that they want to "see the finish line together" in the spirit of shounen sports anime, but is it really neccessary for all members to finish? I remember people dropping out left and right during races like the Tour de France all the time...granted, becoming the best team doesn't really seem to be the first priority there.

Episode 32

Kind of reckless for an spoiler[athlete not tell his team that he is having trouble]. At the very least they can try to help spoiler[him recover], and it is their supervisor's spoiler[responsibility to pull him out if he puts his health at risk]. Kind of dangerous that he did it to himself.

And are we really at episode 32? The episode numbers have really flown by since I was struggling at the beginning.

In case you didn't see the news, season one is ending at ep 38, and season two starts in October (!!!).

They have a TdF level team, so I'd say they couldn't be too bad.

spoiler[Jin's little break at the start was concerning.
He is definitely in serious trouble.
If it continues like this he's gonna have to drop out.
Makishima was the only one who knew the whole truth.
I was surprised Onoda would be so persistent to help Jin.
His methods might be weird, but they work!
Awesome singing ROFL & great episode!!]

I live for those spoiler[Hime] moments. Very Happy Funniest part was, he knew the spoiler[lyrics for the second verse and wasn't just repeating them back.]

The return of the spoiler[Hime song] was glorious. I think I have that song stuck in my head again. Anyways good episode. I'm really curious to see how this Inter High race will conclude now.

The bromance was strong as usual.

Ok, now we know that Onoda, while a gifted cyclist, is not that good at singing... Very Happy

Gotta love a show that can make me roll my eyes at Tadokoro's overdramatic...err...spoiler["death scene"] and roll around the floor laughing because of their hilarious spoiler[Hime duet] in one single episode. Laughing

Bonus points for Midousuji spoiler[teasing Imaizumi] and the part after the ED (which is usually the best part of the show anyway IMO Wink ).

spoiler[Things are getting intense!
Other teams are advancing.
Our team was the only one still split up.
Imaizumi was starting to seriously panic.
That weird looking guy was totally obnoxious.
Hakone's sprinter was impressive.
His background story was with Hakone was interesting.
Sohoku didn't get much of the spotlight this time.
Still, good episode.]

Episode 34 was awesome.

I loved the way they focused on other characters like spoiler[Rinter and seeing how he became the #4 sprinter. Otherwise, I need to mourn for the rabbit, Andy & Frank this episode. So sad....]
