The ups and downs of Attack on Titan volume 11
Quote:
Week 1 - number 1
Week 2 - number 1
Week 3 - top
Week 4 - bottom
Week 5 - top
Week 6 - top
Week 7 - bottom
Week 8 - top
Week 9 - bottom (latest comic ranking)

Most likely stock issues is to blame for Volume 11's weird up and down movement.

Quote:
Oct. 3 - Amazon Japan has Volume 11 labelled "Usually ships within 2 to 4 weeks."

Oct. 5 - Amazon Japan stopped accepting orders for Volume 11.

Oct. 8 - Volume 10 suffers the same fate on Amazon Japan.

Oct. 10 - 10 back in stock; 11 still out of stock.

Oct. 12am - 10 went back to can't be ordered status. And volume 9 also can't be ordered.

Oct. 13am
Volume 9 & 10 - Usually ships within 2 to 4 weeks.
Volume 11 - still can't be ordered, already for over a week

They thought 1.75 million copies of volume 11 would be enough in a previous article posted here (too lazy to find it, use the search box). Not enough obviously... just get the special edition!

Glad to see Chihayafuru 22 still has some tail on her (LOL).

And here I was, always wondering how a basketball manga could sell so good.

Then I watched the anime and realized it.

Volume 10 is back in stock on Amazon. 11 still can't be ordered. I really don't get this. Amazon usually accepts regular edition book orders even if it takes one month to fulfill.

I think the reported 1.85 million first printing for Volume 11 includes both regular and special editions.

Shingeki stock situation has gotten worse on both Amazon Japan and HMV. I've updated top post.

Amazon Oct. 13am
Volume 9 & 10 - Usually ships within 2 to 4 weeks.
Volume 11 - still can't be ordered, since October 5

HMV Oct. 13am
Volumes 1-10 is "In Stock - Shipped Today or +1 Day".
Volume 11 is "For Order - Ships when in stock."

Right now, I expect Volumes 1-10 to still rank next week, but not volume 11. For some reason, Kodansha can restock 1-10, but not 11.

Also, just how many special editions of volume 11 (and 7) did they print out? It's still in stock even after two months (since April 2012).
