Anime dazed

I know merchandise is big business right now, but a third season seems to be more in order than a new series.

Either way, I'll check it out. Maybe this new series will give Alter some time to finish up the remaining girls of the 501st.

Great news. I take it neither ova nor tv series are going to be sequels. Maybe the adventures of Mio before the 501st? The storm witches? Adventures in Africa? No matter, ill definitely be watching anyway. Now if only Funimation would license the movie.

... So the Third season may be a Pacific front or some similar nonsense? Or Suzuki trying to say the Third season reboot doesn't mean the series with the "known character-types" people want to see won't get continued eventually, no, we'll get all new characters, with probably the same traits, in a new setting for now?

Woo - can you fell my excitement? - hoo.

I think the "franchise" is lightweight but I like the voice actresses/characters they have now. What happened, ran out of ways they could do character episodes without advancing some sort of alien/war/any plot?

I can't quite comprehend the first part of your comment but I don't think they ran out of ideas. They're just featuring other witches (hopefully ones that have appeared in other media) because that's what many of the hardcore SW fans (the ones that actually buy merchandise, soundtracks, light novels, etc) want. Now, if they were to bring in completely new characters that have never been introduced before, your comment would be valid, but we'll have to wait and see for further details.

Chances are, they'll eventually do a season three continuation or another movie, at the very least, in the future anyway. The movie did say to be continued at the end.

On a side note, I doubt it'd occur in the Pacific because Neuroi need land to survive. I guess they could put a hive in Fuso, and have Neuroi constantly flying across the ocean to fight, but for some reason I can't imagine them doing that.

Just saw this piece of news. I'm excited and sad at the same time. No '3rd season' means no more of the faves. It also means we might not get to see them liberate Karlsland and Orussia.

I'm hoping the new unit is going to be:

502nd "Brave Witches" - for Gundula Rall and 'Nipa'
or
507th "Silent Witches" - Beurling, [Urusula] Hartmann, and O'Hare

Runner up would be Storm Witches, not for Marsaille (who I have an intense dislike for after they went and ended her duel with Hartmann in a draw), but for the Big Three (Rommel, Patton, and Montgomery), Frederike Porsche, and Hanna Rudel.

The witch I still really want to see in action though is Galland.
