I'm in my thirties now and wonder what it will look like when I have grey hair, wrinkles, and an anime/manga collection that takes up the entire bottom floor of my house. I worry enough about what it will be like when my toddler grows up and starts poking around mommy's collection (I love to display and don't want to lock away my Berserk, Gunbuster, and Banana Fish - not to mention my figures) - what will it be like if/when I have grandkids?
We need more positive role models like Grandma Rosa to help guide us through. |

| As soon as Grandma Rosa showed up, I knew yaoi was going to show up. Stay golden Grandma, stay gold! |

| Well played, Robin. It was obvious that Grandma was going to the con, but the yaoi screening was a curve ball. |

| Yeah, I could tell Grandma Rosa was going to be at the con, but I didn't see the yaoi thing coming. I suppose I should have, since that's what seemed to introduce Grandma Rosa to anime all those comics ago, but I didn't remember that until after seeing the panel. I kinda thought maybe we'd see Grandma Rosa cosplaying. As a fully dressed character. I'd really rather never see a scantily clad Grandma Rosa. Manstys are bad enough. |

LOL. Oh Grandma Rosa, we love you.
I love that she's back, ever since the comic where Nina and Paula were watching yaoi and Rosa was so... Interested in it, I kept thinking, 'I hope to Joshua she comes back!!'
(Yes, the Joshua thing was a TWEWY reference.) |

Grandma Rosa's in the yaoi screening! That's why she was questioning you Paola! She don't wanna get caught!
Great comic as always, Robin! Totally made my day. |

I love seeing old folks at anime conventions, especially when they're really into it and not just there with their grandchildren. The first time I went to Otakon there was an old lady pushing an even older lady in a wheel chair, both sporting Kenshin shirts. That was 10 years ago, I've seen a lot of old people at anime cons since then seemingly enjoying themselves.

Can't say I expected that and honestly never expected that. I half expected a concerned Grandmother worrying about their grandchild, but can't say I saw this coming.
Even though this is a comic, you hardly ever see a grandparent of all things watching anime, much less this type of anime. Then again Grandma Rosa is probably the exception to the rule, in terms of comics most likely.
Great work Robin, quite unique actually. |
