Okay.....Someone needs to rewrite this review.....Because ((And I'm not just saying this as a fan)) It's missing the whole idea of the show. No, it is not a normal shoujo. It's an expression of ballet. It's only weird because the writer assumes all shojo to be cutesy and cliche ((Can't do the accent. It isn't on my key board. Sorry))
Just needed a rant. Does anyone agree with me? |

I love Princess Tutu, so I do think that originally the reviewer missed the point. Check out reviews for the later volumes, though--they 'got' it later on. Also, the beginning episodes aren't as strong as it really gets in the series, so if you're basing a review just off the first episodes, it's very easy to think 'aw, it's just a cute little magical girl show". That's what I thought when I started watching it, too.
Between the excellent later reviews and the good buzz that Zac's been giving it in his column, I don't think there really needs to be a rewritten review. There's enough on the site already to show what a good anime it is (as well as several other sites). At this point, if people are just going to dismiss it, they're probably going to do so no matter what ANYONE says. |

Yeah, I have read all of the other reviews, and I am very happy with them. But ((More of the stuff that sounds like psyco fan)) I just get angry when people don't get the idea. Like it or not, at least understand that its not a normal show.
