I really like the Kimi ni Todoke Christmas episode. It's absolutely adorable. I always try and watch it over the Christmas season.

I'm glad someone mentioned this. It's kind of a total WTF of an episode, but it's some good Christmas fun.
And I sat through My Santa once. I'll never get those brain cells back.

For Genma love/haters, Ranma 1/2 Ep. 75, "Step Outside!" is also a fun Christmas episode (though nowhere near the holiday character-reunion cheer of Christmas Scramble):
Happosai insists on a Christmas tree, so Ranma & dad wander out into the snowy woods, and Genma is lost in a blizzard. Ranma eventually tracks him to a rich mansion in the mountains, and a mother and her ailing son--"It was a Christmas miracle! My son wanted only a panda for Christmas, and there was one in the front yard!"
Only now, the mother would like to get rid of the adorable furry freeloader, and Ranma is only too glad to help...

Because obviously Lynzee Lamb isn't against Christmas like Bamboo Dong is. (Imagine I inserted an emoticon here.)

This latest poll was difficult. I couldn't really choose between a few of the candidates so I chose based off of if any of these dads had to be my dad which one would I want. This narrowed it down a bit. For example: Bardock and Goku were out because lets be honest I would hardly know them. Bardock is dead and Goku is either dead or gone training most of the time. Not the best fathers. I chose based off of the best father.

Glad you mentioned this; whatever the series' fault, this was pretty successful emotionally.
While it's not really about Christmas, I'll give a shout out to Phantom Memory Kurau for include it as a...recurring motif, I guess? It also has a surprising Christmas scene thats written/directed pretty well. (pretty lights)

Yeah but he's alright. If he was my dad I would be engaged to a bunch of hot women right now. The man may be a coward but he sure knows how to hook a brotha up.

Where is the Holiday Hi-Jynx episode of Pokemon and the Christmas episodes of Azumanga Daioh and Those Who Hunt Elves?

Funny, but I was thinking about another Christmas-themed episode in Urusei Yatsura. episode 79, "The Mendo Family's Summer Christmas", where the cast has to climb a giant Christmas tree while chained together in pairs.

I have the second Urusei Yatsura Christmas episode but only on VHS so I haven't actually watched it in like a decade.

Doesn't "nonsecular" mean religious? Japan is most certainly not that

The country has religious history and customs, but most of its population doesn't identify as religious.
