I would have listed Neo Venezia as the #1 spot, but I'm alright with it being at a respectable #2. As for the poll, this was a hard one to choose. I went with President Aria, but it really was a choice between probably 5 of them.

Ahhhh that cat poll is too hard. I ultimately went with Catbus, though it was a tough call between that, Luna or Meowth.

Guh! That poll....
Went with Nyanko-sensei, mostly because he's the funniest of the lot (that I've seen anyway.) But I wanted to give Kirara a vote too. And President Aria. And more of them. |

Very glad to see Asahigaoka from non non on here. As a person who loves technology I thought it was pretty amazing how I felt the need to throw away all my funds just to visit such a place when I was watching the show

In my opinion, I can't see how anything other than the Samurai Pizza Cats to be the correct answer.
Speaking of which, I seem to remember Prisoner Island actually being a pretty nice place in the end. |

So, I guess that Gold Saucer from Final Fantasy VII doesn't count?
(Last Disney Parks trip, I took the FFVII track on my iPod, and joked, "What are you doing next? I'm going to Gold Saucer!") That said, the hot-springs from Outlaw Star looked rather nice (even if a few of them might've been too hot), the orbiting casino/resorts from Dirty Pair, or the Galaxy Express paying for all hotel expenses at the more tourist-y planets of the galaxy. Yeah, that's a seriously comprehensive list of anime cats. I think kamisama from PaniPoniDash is the only other one I might have pondered voting for, had he been there. He wouldn't have actually gotten my vote, though. (Aria didn't, either. Love the show, but I find him a bit too annoying, given the tone of the show.) OK, maybe ryo-ohki, too, since some other arguably-cat cats are there. |

The poll was tough. I ultimately went for Luna but seriously considered Catbus, Chiyo's dad, Doraemon, Kyo and Meowth.

I'm confused, one says "Favorite" and one says "Undisputed Mascot of Anime". Doraemon would unquestionably be the latter (yeah, I'm hoping he gets to be the Olympics mascot), and that by necessity would trump Luna as the former. Artemis was too incompetent, and Diana and Chibi-Usa deserved each other. But I can't pick my favorite, because, ahem, SOMEBODY forgot Jiji.

Treat it as "favorite", since (a) that's how all these polls play out anyway, and (b) many of the choices were seriously not "mascot" material, so that probably wasn't the intention. |

I was thinking maybe Shinshu Ueda from Summer Wars, or Altamira (can't remember if they showed that location in the Tales of Symphonia animation...)
And this may sound strange, but Ai Emma's area of Hell in Jigoku Shoujo seems....peaceful and a great place for a vacation. Minus random people showing up in front of your house who make contracts.... |

I'll laugh if Dandy's Meow wins this poll since he says he isn't a cat. Those selections made it tough; I had to go with the Catbus.
Neo Venezia is close as anime gets to Heaven... |

When I saw Blair on the list of cats I immediately pounced on her, figuratively speaking. I did briefly consider Shampoo, but Blair has a better personality and is a lot less likely to kill me. |

I will admit I am biased, both are from personal top 5 titles for me. Every time I watch Aria, I get annoyed that we have not engineered Mars into a water world with a vacation spot with such a slow, beautiful way of life. I want to be there. Now. |

My first thought was "hell yeah I'm voting for Korin/Karin" (from Dragonball) but he wasn't on the list... Unless my eyes failed me emensely.
