Wouldn't "The Midnight Channel" be more appropriate for the event?

My guess is that it's gameplay footage of "Persona 5." They said that the game is coming out later this year, so we should at least see some footage.

Another guess is an MMO. The series has the makings for one, particularly using players you interact with as your Social Links.

Yep, Shin Megami Tensei Online: Imagine. However they closed for good late February for the North American servers.

Furthermore there were a couple Japan-only "social mmos" with a Persona 3 theme a while back as well

I bet it'll be the announcement of the 3rd and final persona 3 movie for the winter or something. And I hope the big news will be an info dump about persona 5

I like how a Persona HD collection which would probably have P3/P4 in a collection is somehow not as anti-climatic as Persona 3 Vita. A game that already has a portable version you can play on your vita no less.

I believe that would be far more anti-climatic.

I just hope there is a trailer for Persona 5. I couldn't care less about ports of old games I've already had multiple ways to play.

As much as I love them, I think it's becoming redundant to re-release them. A persona 5 trailer, screenshots, or any type of info would be a much more fitting 'big announcement'

No, it would be extremely anti-climatic. You can already play P3 on your vita fine.

And the irony was that you were calling someone asking for a new port anti-climatic while wishing for a very un-needed port yourself.

Do you know what "anti-climatic" means? It means something that is disappointing or falling from lofty expectations.

Can you explain how that wouldn't apply to a Persona 3 Vita? The article says the quote is "super important announcement of a new project.". They are describing this thing as a new and important thing. How would that be Persona 3 Vita? Which would just be a port of a years old game. One that in it self has had two expanded versions itself. It's not like they would remake the game if they made a Vita port. It would just be the PS2 game on your Vita. The same game you've already played. About the only new thing there would be is P3P's gameplay changes applied to a version that dosen't have to cut out all the town exploration. That's it. How does that warrant a "super important new project"? It dosen't even fill in the need of a P3 on the go, because Persona 3 Portable is out there. Which is a good version of P3. Which you can play on your Vita. So for $20 you can already play Persona 3 on your Vita. Hell, if they ever add PS2 emulation on the Vita you could play Fes on the vita.

So really how would it not be anti-climatic for the super important and new project to be a game that already is out there and wouldn't even serve a new/un-fulfilled purpose?
