putting aside the super porny transformation costumes, i don't see a show where a woman molests her two teenage daughters onscreen going on Toonami.

You do realize that there are some rather uncomfortable incestuous acts that go on between Ragyo and Satsuki right? I'm pretty sure that is also a really big issue as well considering America slightly more anal about these kind of displays in media.

And yet the giant human rights abuse that is the Deadman Wonderland facility, the various morally questionable acts that Public Security Section 9 and its enemies (especially its enemies) regularly engage in, and EVERYTHING that goes on in Black Lagoon (just wait until you get to the Hansel and Gretel arc) all get a pass. Incest didn't stop the powers that be at Williams Street from giving Sword Art Online its chance on air. Hell, Adult Swim's regular programming gets away with far worse on a regular basis.

Those are actually really good choices; however, I think Mary Elizabeth McGlynn might fit Ragyo better, but then again, I can't really think of a specific person who would play Satsuki.

Ami Koshizimu IS Ryuko; it'll take a really talented ADR director to find someone who can breath life into that role like Koshimizu.

While don't know much about the characters, would like if Michelle Ruff and Wendee Lee were in this, as they're my favorite actresses.

Despite your first paragraph being you spewing biased BS I finished reading the blog, and sadly your little wall o' text didn't improve.

The way you curve things towards the people who prefer dubs as being some kind of little angels while people who prefer to watch their anime subbed as "the bad guys" in the way the two groups express themselves about the sub & dub topic made me barf trampolines out of my nostrils. And yeah, anime is indeed a visual medium, I get it, but I can watch subbed anime and still have the same visual experience as you do with dubbed. You might have a hard time reading, but you don't need to come up with some grand excuse just to cover that up, as many people, especially those who have not grown up in an English speaking country can almost naturally watch TV series/movies subbed without missing a thing on screen.

Something I tend to notice is that when people watch subs, they do it for the writing, not the visuals. You say you're getting the same visual experience subbed as dubbed, but unless one understand Japanese, one would need a way to understand the dialogue, and subtitles generally tend to serve as a distraction from the visuals. Just a cold hard fact.
