Tomoda!!! I'm so glad he found happiness in the end (even if it was only in a BL doujinshi).

Episode 5:
Ah, so they are really sticking with the main premise this episode involving making shoujo manga. Mamiko is the main female protagonist in that shoujo. It's a bit cliche but it's also funny how the guys can come up with those ideas. Overall, I thought episode was cute :>

Nozaki sure was excited about a visit from his editor.
Damn, that guy wasn't notable at all..
I honestly don't get why Nozaki thinks he's cool.
The stories about his editors were fun.
That Maeno sure was a unique one..
Sakura meeting Miyako... weirdness.
That mangaka girl really needs to ditch Maeno as an editor..
Nozaki sure can't stand the guy!
His idea of testing his ideas was a bit off LOL
Still, a fun episode ^^

This show is too good. I loved how Nozaki got more satisfaction giving his lunch to Mokoshiba instead of the 2 girls.

Nozaki being Mamiko was great, especially when he was pushing Kashima around on the cart. And his previous editor, wow...I think I'd feel the exact same way if I had to deal with that guy.
I wish I could try some of Nozaki's homemade bento, it looked really good...

I was crying during that cart scene. It's been awhile since an anime made me do that.
If this series keeps it up it may be a contender for best of the year for me.

@Maiden: I totally agree. That cart scene was golden.

Episode 5
So Nozaki likes the type that pretty much ignore him but respond quickly? Well compared to his old editor you could maybe see why he is so happy, that guy is just no good: egocentric, stifles creativity or tries to claim obvious ideas, and loses a manuscript. Nozaki getting that angry was hilarious. Also add in the new one having to deal with Nozaki's insanity, well he tried to pretend to be his protagonist and got the most out of giving Mikorin the food. And also kidnapped Kashima to feel the sting of a girls' hatred.
Oh, and Norio Wakamoto had a guest voice bit.

Mikorin is the perfect (tsundere) shoujo heroine!
I'm not sure if the female mangaka is a saint or a masochist for putting up with that editor, but i gotta admit that he's quite amusing...from a distance. And while Nozaki's editor might be more competent, Nozaki's fondness for the guy seems to be fairly one-sided.

It's kind of rare for me to genuinely laugh at anime humor these days. But for some reason I can't help myself whenever I watch this one. I think it's because of the originality of some of the jokes as well as turning common tropes for this genre on their head to mix things up.
Would be nice if the main pair has some romantic advancement but sadly I don't think that will be the focus.

Episode 6:
Idk if I should pick Seo or not for a spot on a basketball team. Oh wait.
Funny episode as usual. I like how they balance out the shoujo manga tropes with Seo's tomboyishness. I find that well done.

Yuzuki sure has a beautiful voice.
That girl is a true renaissance female.
Nozaki played basketball in Junior High?
Could not even imagine something like that.
He sure knows how to use people as help.
Wakamatsu sleeping problem solved.
If he knew it was Yuzuki's voice he'd flip.
I think that deep down he actually has a thing for her..
OMG! It turns out that she likes HIM!
She doesn't know how to express her feelings so she bullies him.
They are so much alike... *sigh*
Both of them are hopeless.
2nd part was kinda more serious.
So Wakamatsu ended up joining the manga team..
All of them are surrounded by weird girls.
Can't even use them to make a decent manga.

Episode 6
Wait are those two actually dating and don't know it? Sure Seo seems to be bullying Wakamatsu, but her targeting him seems to imply that she has interest in him, which does not help that his way to combat him makes it look a hell lot like he likes her. Goes even further that her "bullying" goes so far as buying him food and presents, while his message of challenge is giving her a present. I think it comes down to them both being idiots, one is oblivious to the point she does not understand her own feelings, while the other just does not get it to the point he doesn't understand his own actions. They might just be perfect for each other.
Those three probably should not write manga, although it was funny with the backgrounds being different. Nozaki's reaction to it was priceless.

The "harassing you means I love you" meme occurs repeatedly in anime. Even a show like Shin Sekai Yori uses this theme early on to suggest one character has feelings for another. It happens in real-life as well, especially among pre-teens who don't yet know how to handle their feelings for love objects.
The tsundere character type plays on this theme. Kou and Aoba's relationship in Cross Game is a good example.

I am pretty sure she understands. She was blushing and she even asked him to repeat the lines that was showering her with praise.
