Things I liked:
1. No fan service and no need for it. 2. Pretty much the whole story could be watched and taken at face value. 3. Not everything the girls tried worked BUT 4. The story did not indulge too much in last-minute tension-building conundrums. The stupid snow scene aside. 5. The honorable spirit of the rival group A-Rise. 6. No impossible physical feats. Things I didn't like: 1. No boys. 2. No support crew or even lip service for it. The stupid snow scene aside. So good things outweigh bad things so that's a win. I probably won't ever buy the media it just wasn't that good. |

@leatherhead333: I've just rewatched a few episodes from the first season and I'm fairly certain there was a lot more strongarming and molestation then than with Rin.

The difference is that they paced it out evenly. They didn't simply convince everyone to do what they wanted in one episode. It took "TIME". One of the reasons the conflict was better in the first season where in the 2nd it felt pretty artificial.
