I am really excited to hear about the prospect of a new Macross series. It's too bad the only way I'll be able to see it is either fan subs or imported blu-rays with subtitles. (and there is no guarantee on the latter). Hopefully the songs and the variable fighter action will be as enjoyable as it was on Frontier.

Macross Delta is a sick ass name.

Anything Macross makes me excited, the next few years are going to be torture as more details get teased.

It's good to finally hear some news about the new Macross series. While I was hoping that the new story would take place sometime between the original series and Plus, I'm happy nonetheless!

Well if it involves a bit of music, then sign me up for it. I am somewhat interested it in now.

Pretty sure Sunrise will be adapting this also.

Macross always had music in it.

And it's most likely gonna be Satelight that's animating this.

Is this going to be in the same universe as the original? The pop star thing makes it seem so.

Note: The only Macross I've seen is the original (ADV dub).

With the rights issues that Harmony Gold has over the Macross franchise, an official release here is probably difficult.

I love how this is happening after Robotech Academy's Kickstarter failed.

Another "Macross" series? Good. Now we have an excuse to bitch about "Robotech" despite probably being the reason you watched "Macross" in the first place.

I doubt this could even be simulcasted with the legal snarls this franchise has. I can't wait to see how the series turns out (at least this new series will be treated with respect unlike Gundam).

All of the Macross series take place in the same universe so its unlikely that this will be any different.
