No money means I can't get DVDs, or even Netflix. The ads are annoying and the wait more so, but the fact that I'm watching anime legally? Priceless! 
I have a question about guest passes: how are they distributed exactly? Back when Crunchyroll was having a promotion and offering free passes to non-paying members (I have an account) I signed up on one of their advertisers sites and all I got was spam. I know they have contests occasionally, but is there anyway to earn enough "merit" on the site (say, by writing comments or participating in other ways) to be rewarded with a pass? Also, does CR randomly give out guest passes to paying members so that they can give the passes out to friends? (I really want to know how to get a pass!  )

For paying subscribers, you simply receive one each month, nothing more needed. I never have bothered learning about the various CR points, etc. I just go watch my anime. ^_- Speaking of passes, after confirming that a friend of mine didn't really have a need for them, I'll start offering them up here: [taken] |
