Ok, I reread those chapters, and it's true that he tried to kill her, though he was at his most irrational at that point. He was in the midst of a psychotic break which he eventually recovered from.

I think this is a case where it's hard to compare a real life relationship to an anime one. This is not a case of them being normal people, hanging out, and he suddenly decided to attempt murder. These are both active battlefield ninja, and she was definitely trying to at the very least disable him and put a stop to all his plans, and in response he tried to kill her. Was it wrong? Yes. Was it as wrong as real world domestic abuse situations? Of course not.
Post ch699, there is absolutely no reason for her to be concerned that he would, say, beat her or whatever. His dark past had it's own justifications, and that has been put behind him, and I see nothing wrong with her feelings remaining.

unfortunately that was never gonna happen. it would have poed all of the fans of that series if it did. it would have ended up the same way with the pervy sage and the 5th hokage. worse case senario. she would have ended up going down the same dark path as tsunade.
