To have a 3rd Season...... Where could they have the materials (Reference) for this? Is it based on a original script? a light novel? or a manga?

It's an original show, IIRC.

It's an original show, IIRC. |
It had an LN adaptation but only covered the first season along with a canon side story manga.

That's true, but they based their stories on the anime, rather than the other way around.
