Thank you for putting the voting back up after the server crash! It's probably a pain to have to reset everything so it's cool that you went through the trouble of trying again anyway instead of saying "forget it" and scraping the voting altogether.
Good luck to everyone! These look great! The cosplays were some of my favorites along with the Olaf snowman.

After rating images I got to a page that said:
You have rated all the images Anime Snowman And Winter Crafts Contest - Entries TOP 5 (9 images displayed) The 9 images aren't what I would have thought were my top 9 images. Are the 9 images the top 9 for everyone, perhaps? Also, I didn't see such a page when I voted before. Just hope everything's fine post-crash. |

First, let me thank you for still going through with this and not simply discarding the contest altogether. I'm sorry to find out about all the issues you at ANN have been having. I'm sure a lot of work has gone into trying to get everything back up and going.
... oooohhhhh...but unfortunately, it appears that the voting system still has a problem with giving my top votes at the end to those I did not have ranked toward the top during the voting process. The top two images that I voted for are nowhere to be seen in what it is displaying as the "Top 5", and some of them most definitely should not be in my top 5. I would like to think that this does not represent my top 5 and instead represents the overall current rankings, except that the top 5 listed after logging out and going back to that page don't match those, so I'm concluding that that it is indeed saying that those are my top 5 ranked images. Should I just tell you what my top 5 are? Of course, I don't know exactly how the votes are given, so maybe the error is only in the final display and not in the actual point or vote totals. Sorry about all the complaining since you've probably worked hard on this (and I do really appreciate that), but it is bothersome when it appears to be given votes to those it shouldn't and taking away votes from others. Okay, this is new. I logged in today and now it's showing 8 images instead of 5, with a 5-way tie for 4th place. It's finally showing the image I never voted against, although somehow it ended up in that 5-way tie for 4th. I'm curious as to where it placed the image I voted as my second favorite. This is so confusing.
Edit: ...and now, on the last day of voting, it's showing 6 images: one first place (which isn't my actual first place pick), 2 tied for second place, and 3 tied for third. Edit: ...and now back to 5 images. |

And it looks like they were announced over a week ago, just not as prominently as for the Unbreakable Machine Doll.
Now I can buy more anime in peace, without worrying that the random drawing will leave me with duplicates. |
