| Does anyone know why Tokyopop decided to release Rose Hip Zero before Rose Hip Rose? |

Does Zero occur first in the timeline? If so, that's probably why, even if Zero was made later.
Anyhow, I'm kind of interested in this series, but based on this review, I'll wait until I hear more about it to make a decision. It sounds like it has potential but could just as easily end up as crap. |

I'm assuming that RHZ is before RHR, but it was release before RHR and prolly finished at 5 volumes and there's only 2 volumes of RHR out in Japan so it'll be a while until you see RHR over Stateside.
But it's shaping up to look like some good action fare (the reason why I brought it in the first place). I don't find the main chara guy's macho attitude annoying at all. Asakura may be cute, but she's not cute all the time outside fighting. She strikes me as a normal 14-year old girl more than anything... |

It may be the fact that I just watched "Hard Candy" yesterday, but I don't think I will be reading/watching anything involving an older man and a 14 year old girl for awhile....
Castration is nifty, btw. |

RHZ was made after RHR, but it's supposed to take place before Rose Hip Rose and act as a prequel. Rose was first published in 2003, while Zero was first published in 2006.
RHR will probably be published in the US in a year or so, after Zero is finished being released. |
