At least they're not ashamed of it. Anyways, I bet most of bath time with teacher is like episode 3 where he passes out sometime during it and the rest is a dream. At what point he passed out is the question. |

It is only when Basara and the teacher are right next to each other that I realise the similarity of their eyes. There seems to be some connection to her and Basara's mother, the resemblance of their eyes just one part. I know this was a sexy time don't think thing, but I am not sure if I mentioned my theory earlier that the teacher is part of a third faction, likely angels, as was his mother and thus he is a Nephilim. |

You do realize this is an ecchi show right? And that virtually all ecchi shows are written to varying degrees just like this? As in tons of fanservice and T&A etc. Some may have more of a real plot than others but that's besides the point. |

If all ecchi shows were written like this I'd have quit the genre long ago. The fact some have better plots than others ISN'T besides the point. That's exactly what makes it worth sticking around. If the anime's only interest is to get the audience to shack the stick it's pretty worthless in my opinion. Hentai is better served for that purpose.
The girls here are pretty much treated as sexual objects and not people. If you want a good example of the genre done right Lord Marksman and Vanadis did it very well. Yes the fanservice was there but most of the time it was hardly distracting and even expanded on the characters personalities with it. I'm not someone who is apposed to fanservice. However if you've just laid out a generic harem where the guy gets into various sexual situations with characters who barely have distinguishable personalities aside from being horny isn't that just porn? |

Season 2 started...and well, it's still censored by cartoony drawings so wait for BDs if you the full thing. However, what we do get is lewdness thanks to Maria's trolling.
Kurumi is already a joke of that. I wonder what sensei's role this season will be though? Seems like there's some foreshadowing about her. Oh and for some reason, I like the new OP song better than the previous season. |

I'm not sure why I'm watching this, but I am. I might as well challenge myself: No hands! Should be easy enough considering the censoring in the first season got to the point that they might as well have made the whole screen go black.

Season 2 :Episode 1
Yes! Shimao is back! Nooooo! So are the censors... Pretty good first episode, starting events off where they finished after last season. I believe there was logic in the scene where Mio and Yuki dressed (became) as dogs... somewhere... Maria is still best girl and the scene between her and Basara was awfully sweet at the end. Funnily enough my Maria statue was delivered today to go with Mio, which must have been a sneaky marketing stunt to coincide with Burst's first episode. I must say, she looks far better than the picture does her credit for.

Not much of one for figures, but I'll have to at least consider that Maria figure if I run across it at a 'con.
First episode of season 2 could probably be summed up with a "more of the same." |

And you kind of took what I was going to say. I do not entirely approve of "strong heroines" being reduced to what could be described as "drooling" and "dogs", but the angle almost covers the bases. That these actions can be attributed to Maria's part as a succubus does help somewhat, but it feels like it mostly helps at having Maria be excused and liked rather than entirely excuse the other characters. That the goofy dirty minded Maria is up to things again, but also that there is a little more to her character, like apparently some family stuff. So has that feminine boy with glowing red eyes, who reminds me a lot of Gasper, appeared before? From what we saw one might think he was in league with the teacher. But red eyes make me think vampire rather than what I was thinking the deal with the teacher was. |

No, I don't think he appeared in the 1st season. I may be interpreting the whole thing wrong but I got the impression that the feminine boy is responsible for the female teacher's weird popularity. |

While I will buy the Blurays when/if they come out, I find the censorship does not bother me. I find that my imagination is quite capable of supplying all that is missing.
Has anyone else noticed that Yuuki has gotten herself a second job acting in The Asterisk War? |

Oh yeah, in general I'm not bothered by the censorship. The rest of the show has enough meat to sustain interest and the sexy stuff actually doesn't get that much screentime (in the case of To Love Ru Darkness I know 70% of the run time will be covered by white light so I won't watch until the uncensored version is out), but waiting can be tough...
... Though come to think of it the only new scene added to the first season that, uh, warrents rewatching was the bath scene with the cake... |
