Season 2, episode 2:

Honestly, I liked the previous OP song better than the current one. I mean, I like Fripside but just feels kinda out of style for this series.

As for the episode itself, it felt more like a buildup and we get more background story. Unfortunately, I'm not a big fan of Shiho although it is nice to learn more about his background story. Seems like the themes of experimentation is also focused a bit in this episode.

^ Yeah, both the OP and ED were step-downs from the first season imo

Yu did it again..
Time to tame his inner demon.
Looks like all of them had to deal with their demons..
spoiler[Kimizuki] was going through an especially hard time.
I'm very interested in finding out more about human experimentation.
Wonder if that'll get clarified soon..

Strangely, I never considered the mention that his parents died as some sort of cult or whatever they mentioned at the beginning of the series, actually held relevance to him being more than human.

Season 2, episode 3:

Despite the slow pacing and buildup, I found this episode more enjoyable than expected. There's comedy (the nearly failed cooking), ideology, tension between the higher-ups, experimentation, a hint of Guren's Cursed Gear origins (an important part of his past life), and also buildup on the vampire side.

It's important to note that Mika heard a very important secret from Krul, something that I wonder will get revealed this season.

Anyways yeah, expecting the big fights to come later!

Look like spoiler[humans have their fair share of experimenting.]
Everyone seems to be very interested inspoiler[ Guren's intentions]..
So the spoiler[real war is starting soon].
Vampires seem pretty determined to exterminate humans.
All that should make things more interesting.

And Aoi Yuuki as Krul is almost just too sexy to handle.

Season 2, episode 4

Oh Shinoa...

It's not her fault though! Well part of it may be but I think she can learn from mistakes. The fighting was pretty one-sided. I'm disappointed by Yuu's group so hopefully they can learn more from this fight. On another note, Mika better get ahold of himself. From what I saw, he's really struggling with his humanity side, no?

This must be doing pretty well, because the pacing of this seems like they're sure of another season. At the rate they're going, the Battle of Nagoya won't even get started before episode 22, or about the time they run out of budget to animate it.

I did get a chuckle out of swerving the truck so his smooth-as-butter landing was on the street instead of the bed. But it's long past time Shinoa got her snarky attitude readjusted and started taking things seriously.

Yeah, it was kind of funny that she made his cool landing decidedly less cool. But at the same time there is an air that she needs to start taking things more seriously, it feels like good development who would otherwise be an entertaining character.

Mika going along with what ruined his life continues to make him look monstrous.

Season 2, episode 5:

First half felt slow but the prep for the battle was okay.
Both sides has their own skills so I'm glad glad to see more Nobles tbh as it brings more variety. I think I spotted

The fight itself was kinda neat especially seeing the military in action and some ranged fighting tactics. I think Yuu improved a bit too. Well adapted for this episode.

Time to face the vampires.
spoiler[Higher vampire was a bit too much for our team... at first that is.
Getting him angry was definitely the right move.]

I think they got lucky with that one.
spoiler[Guren] will have his hands full next time, that's for sure

Episode 6:

Hmm, it was an alright episode considering what the vampire Nobles are capable of and what Mika has really evolved into now. Poor Aiko though, she didn't stand a chance..

Next episode looks kinda interesting.
